Perfect place to meet with friends, eat a lovely meal and drink cocktail.

    Lovely venue, great meal.

Very well presented very quick service enjoyable meal.

Slightly overpriced but the atmosphere and service were great.

Nice food with a good varied menu & service was excellent, however, do feel that some things were overpriced I.e fish & chips £13.50 bread & butter pudding £7.50. Enjoyed it but prob won’t be a regular visitor due to this.

Brilliant lovely service, lovely food all-round great night !!

Food was a bit disappointing. Friendly helpful staff nice environment.

I haven't been for a while so it was nice to have had a lovely evening meal, it was very tasty and the service was excellent.

Copper is always great whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Great food and super staff.

Really nice setting. The food was excellent. Nice and clean with great service.

We had afternoon tea which was delicious - different types of sandwiches, petit four type mini cakes, a good scone with jam, clotted cream and a slice of cake each. We had enough that we had to take some home. Service was friendly and attentive but we didn’t feel rushed. Would recommend!

Lovely atmosphere, quick serving, friendly staff, delicious food! As per!

We gave a five star simply because the staff was very pleasant and friendly and they were on the ball to tell us the main meal would be slightly delayed which is a refreshing change.

Very good food and wine as usual. Disappointed that the cakes were taken home several minutes before 5 pm. We had planned to take away two pieces. I asked for them just before 5 pm and had to be very assertive to get the staff to retrieve two pieces from 'the shed'. We were given rather small pieces as well.

The meal was very good well seasoned and very tasty.

Service and food very good. Steak night now includes salmon and halloumi, fab for non-meat eaters.

Freshly prepared tasty salmon and steaks enjoyed by all. Friendly service, but not a great choice of white wine, especially the Pinot Grigio which we didn’t like but still had to pay for.

Lovely presented food good size portions and tasty.
Service was good, not intrusive left to chat did not hurry you with ordering or clearing away.

We had a lovely main course, we used the Tuesday offer which had a good choice of meats fish and sauces. Sweet course poor valve for money disappointing. Good wine and beer selection staff very attentive and professional.

Food and service was good. Only critique was the Eton Mess was mostly cream, not much meringue! And it was quite hot in there, considering it was cool outside!

Had the falafel burger, was great!

Opted for the tapas, whilst the options were quite tasty the steak with barbecue sauce was inedible. Not Spanish tapas as you might expect

Lovely bistro food with great service. Bit cramped and noisy but still a great night!

We say…

Rarely seen without a decent turnout of busy parents, comfortable professionals and clusters of friends getting up to speed, Copper opened on Mapperley Top following the success of the group's original dwelling on West Bridgford's Central Avenue. Now one of three branches in the Copper empire (the latest a flagship cafe in the heart of the city), Copper Mapperley is a foolproof choice for a sophisticated, no-frills date with an impressive food offering at any time of the day.

The bare oak, warmly lit interior invites smart-casual get-togethers over a freshly brewed coffee or a glass of red (or two). Think classy yet relaxed cafe by day, upmarket bistro by night, this stunning eatery makes for a perfect venue for a lazy morning, leisurely lunch or afternoon tea with friends or family. The cuisine is a traditional cafe mix of well-executed English and continental dishes, with a few crowd-pleasing international numbers thrown in for good measure.

When it comes to food, you are spoilt for choice at Copper; first, choose your dining session from, breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner, then make your reservation and finally, leave the rest to the outstanding knowledgable, friendly and attentive staff at the restaurant.

A couple of our steadfast favourites at Mapperley Top are their Mexican-style breakfast aka Colombian Eggs and mint and chilli lamb cutlets which come served with crisp, golden baby potatoes and utterly moreish parmesan green beans.
Be sure to make the most of the weekly specials to enjoy the likes of steak frites, moulesfrites and Copper's popular tapas sharer for a steal of the usual price. There is a commendable amount of choice (and good variety, too) for veggie, vegan and gluten-free diners, making Copper an ideal option for your next group get together.

Whatever the occasion, Copper will provide you with culinary paradise in a scenic and tranquillized environment. Grab all your friends and family for an unforgettable experience that will keep you lingering for more, however, be sure to book in advance to avoid disappointment.
