Had the set pre-theatre meal. Meal was enjoyable and couldn't fault it. Wife was disappointed she didn't get a Christmas cracker though, as it seemed everyone else did.

Great food and attentive service. A fabulous restaurant.

My Sister and I have visited Chutney Ivy's for pre theatre meals on several occasions. We find the location ideal for the Curve, the meal good value for money, the timing perfect and the staff very pleasant and courteous. Overall this makes our theatre experience complete and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

Average food and service. Pre-theatre meal menu with small portions. No real engagement from the serving staff or explanation of food. Meat curries were nice, veg and lentil curry very bland.

The food was very nice but was too spicy hot

    Great service and food!

First time customers, pleased with the booking text reminders e-mails very efficient. Service was good, course waiting time good.
Food very pleased with tasty and well presented, the bill settlement was a little pricey side with a automatic service charge which was negotiated over. We will be back.

Food excellent as always although service was slow despite us choosing the set pre theatre menu.

The food and venue were both very good. The waiters happy and smiley but be prepared for long waits for food on a busy Friday night. Would definitely eat here again though.

Our occasion was to honour a work colleague. The Chutney Ivy staff supported us in this as well as providing the usual excellent cuisine and service.

Ideal pre theatre venue located across the road from the Curve theatre Leicester. Pre theatre banquet tasty and filling, with good brisk service.

First visit for my wife and I. We went for a pre-theatre meal and were pleased that we booked ahead as it soon became busy. Although busy this in no way detracted from the dining experience. We were well looked after, dishes explained and we were not hurried in any way. Food was fantastic and as we went for the Pre-Theatre Banquet there were a few new tastes which we greatly enjoyed. We will certainly go again.

Delicious food and very attentive, friendly service

We had a great experience here, visiting before seeing a performance at The Curve. Choosing the pre theatre banquet we were not disappointed. The choice of food was excellent and delicious. The manager and staff were very attentive. We will definitely return another time and would happily recommend The Chutney Ivy to friends.

Lovely pre-treatment meal, good value and choice.

Excellent pre-theatre menu with staff ensuring you have time to enjoy the meal in good time for the start of the show. The special pre-theatre offer was decent value for money and the food was both tasty and tender. Chutney Ivy is a great venue for pre-Curve dinner.

    Food lovely at Chutney Ivy!

We have been here before and were really looking forward to it. However, the food was only OK, and considering we had booked a table for 8pm and our main course didn't appear until 9.20pm we were disappointed. We were put at a table behind a large group and didn't feel part of the restaurant at all. We won't rush to go back.

This was our first visit to Chutney Ivy and we'll definitely be going again. We ordered from the theatre early dining menu and enjoyed the restaurant selected food. Nothing hot spiced but all subtle and tasty. Beer seemed a little costly but no quibble really. It was a freezing cold evening so was a bit cold because of table position near door - they could have drawn the curtain perhaps? Service spotless - assured, friendly and swift without being harried to eat and go. Service charge added to the bill which was fine by us in this restaurant although I don't like it elsewhere - prefer to decide for myself if the service is tip-worthy. So, good food, good service, good time.

Really good quality food, once again combined with friendly service. So well geared for a pre theatre meal!

Excellent food and service in a very friendly atmosphere. Geared for pre-theatre visit.

We had the Taster menu & thoroughly enjoyed it. A great variety of dishes & more than enough to eat. We will return before too long. Thank you.

The food was amazing, service good but very cold in the restaurant!

The food, service and surroundings at Chutney Ivy were great. Can't fault them!

Lovely food at Chutney Ivy and they knew we were going to Curve and so ensured we weren't kept waiting!

A curry house institution of Leicester!
