We say…

Located in the market town of Bingham which sits roughly twelve miles from Nottingham city centre, is The Chesterfield; a gastro pub that prides itself on serving quality, fresh, locally sourced food. Situated between Bingham’s market square and the church, it is ideal for lazy lunch or relaxing dinner as well as private functions.

The building that houses The Chesterfield at Bingham dates back to the 1770’s and has now been separated into three distinct areas; the gastro-pub restaurant, stylish bar and private dining restaurant. Many of the original features of the building remain intact which help to create a cosy, rustic feel whilst offering all of the modern amenities you would expect. In addition to this, The Chesterfield boasts a garden to the rear of the venue provides the perfect spot for a bit of al fresco dining during the summer months.

The food on offer is all cooked fresh to order by a team of highly skilled and passionate chefs. The menu changes seasonally to reflect the very best of the locally available produce. You can expect to enjoy dishes such as slow roasted belly pork served with dauphinoise potatoes and a Kentish apple tart and baked mushroom, pepper and spinach cannelloni with fresh salad and an Italian dressing. As well as the extensive a la carte menu a smaller lunch and light bites menu, which offers pub classics such as fish and chips as well as sandwiches and baguettes, and children’s menus are also available throughout the day. On Sundays, a traditional roast with all the trimmings is served, something not to be missed!

An accompanying wine and champagne menu provides a good selection of wines by the glass as well as the bottle and an excellent array of draught beers, real ales, soft drinks and spirits are also available.

The Chesterfield at Bingham is sure to delight any diner who is looking for the comfort and atmosphere of a local pub whilst enjoying delicious, well executed restaurant food. It is a family friendly venue that is suitable for all from couples to large parties and private bookings too.

    Overall:

came here years ago under differnet management and didn't return until now because of the low standard of food. Decided to give it another recently and was so happy I did. The new owners have transformed the place to a high standard. The food was lovely and the staff were enthusiatic without being obtrusive. This is now going to be a regular visit for us

    Overall:

Very nice evening. Food was lovely. Staff & manager unaware of the current offers (free bottle of house wine for every couple having 2 courses). Found this a little strange - but they had no prob's at all when I showed the details.

Lovely food at a reasonable price and all staff very approachable and friendly. Vast improvement to how this pub/restaurant used to be before the current owners took it over.
