Located just a few minutes walk from Berry Hill Park, Browns Bar and Bistro in Mansfield is a unique restaurant focused on great food and a great customer experience.
Inside the decoration is a mix’n’matched eclectic fusion of retro furniture and stately styles, mirrors and statues. Grandiose fire places and feature decorations combine with fresh flowers, wine bottles dripped in candlewax and floral wallpaper to create a vintage hunting lodge feel. Carefully coordinated with contemporary tables, brickwork and lighting, the décor of Browns Bar and Bistro alone make it a fantastic and individual dining experience.
The menu at Browns is as fun and well thought out as the décor. A medley of meals and cuisines, the restaurant offers a variety of old favourites and inventive twists, inspired by food all over the world. Choose the Rajasthani spinach and potato curry for the authentic taste of north west India, or indulge in mac and cheese served with red onion chutney and garlic bread. Speciality burgers are a must-try for anyone fancying something particularly memorable from their meal, try The Hot One for a beef burger slathered in jalapenos and hot sauce, or the Holy Cow! burger, a challenge in itself including four bovine patties with cheese, jalapenos, hot sauce, chorizo and peanut butter. There’s some gorgeous homemade desserts on offer too. Try something new with their affogato, a shot of espresso and amaretto poured over vanilla ice cream and topped with biscuit. Or if you fancy something closer to home then try an old favourite such as treacle sponge and custard. Between 1-5pm Brown’s offers delicious afternoon tea, served on a three tiered stand with locally sourced tea. Sandwiches, scones, jam and clotted cream are all included, as are a selection of scrumptious cakes and fresh fruit. With such a range on offer and with such fantastical surroundings, Browns is a great place to book for parties, special occasions and celebrations.
