It’s #InternationalBeerDay. Not that we need an excuse! You can beat a refreshing cold beer to go along side your meal. If you fancy yourself as a bit of a connoisseur, you need to get to these restaurants. All of these venues take their food seriously as well as their beer. Great food and great beer – what a combination! It doesn’t get much better than that.
Here’s just some of our top restaurants to visit for great beer!
The first of our favourites is Pure Craft. Pure Craft Bar and Kitchen claims their aim is to create new beer fans. If you’re not already a beer lover, go on, put them to the test. We bet they’ll convert you! With a beer tasting station located in the restaurant, you will be in your element. Not only is the beer great but the food is created by Andreas Antona, who has worked in not one but two Michelin star restaurants.
Up next is The Castle. The Castle pub and kitchen serves a great selection of real ales, world beers and selected ciders. If a restaurant with views is what you’re looking for, The Castle does not disappoint. The Castle is one of the best restaurants near Nottingham Castle and has amazing views. Sit outside with an ice cold beer and a tasty home cooked British meal and enjoy the scenery.
Another of our favourites is The Cross Keys. The Cross Keys extensive range of beers include 7 hand pulled cask ales which are changed on a regular basis, along with a vast selection of craft beers, premium draft larger and bottled continental beers are also on offer. This contemporary restaurant and pub serves breakfast, lunch and dinner so there’s never a bad time to visit.
Last but by far least is Zaap Thai Street Food. Zaap has taken Nottingham by storm! If you’re looking for something different, this is the place to be. Nottingham had been missing out on the incredible Thai food and amazing range of drinks on offer. Zaap Thai Street Food has a great range of beers imported straight from Thailand. You’ve got to give Singha, Chang or Beerlao a go.
As Jack Nicholson once said “Beer, it’s the best damn drink in the world” Celebrate #InternationalBeerDay or any other day by visiting one of our favourite restaurants with a great selection.
