Bringing the bustle of Delhi to life
In the heart of Nottingham, on the corner of Maid Marion Way and Mount Street is the aptly named 4550 Miles from Delhi; a high quality restaurant serving the very best in Indian cuisine. A modern spacious place split across two levels, it has a stylish contemporary edge with steel, glass and clean lines on a neutral palette. The aim is to combine the legendary generosity of the Indian people with the vibrant bustle that is Delhi brought to life by the theatre of the open kitchen.
All the chefs here are from Delhi and they create authentic Indian cuisine using the very best fresh herbs and spices. Not surprisingly the menu is vast with many of the usual and familiar dishes alongside loads of special dishes unique to this great Indian restaurant. For starter you could enjoy chicken haryali; bite sized pieces of tikka cooked in a special charcoal oven and marinated in coriander, mint and raw mango. Known as amchur, raw mango is a meat tenderiser often used in Indian cuisine to add acidity and a delicate dimension of flavour.
