Good morning Go diners, we hope you had a fantastic start to the week. As usual, we’re pleased to announce that we’ve chosen our #RestaurantoftheWeek for this week. This week we’ve chosen a wonderfully relaxed British restaurant in Leicester which goes by the name of The Loaf.
We’ve chosen this restaurant because not only is it a fantastic place to eat but it also has an effortlessly cool bar which is an excellent place to watch the world go by from. Spread across two floors, there are two distinct atmospheres for diners to choose from. The first floor restaurant has a relaxed ambience that is perfect for informal dining such as casual lunches with friends or dinner with a few drinks. Downstairs there is a slightly more formal feeling which is enhanced further by the gentle jazz music that plays in the background.
We’ve not just chosen The Loaf as our restaurant of the week because of the venue(though that is important to us, and we know, to you) but the food is also of the highest standard. The classic British fayre is cooked to perfection by the skilled chefs and delivered to you by friendly and attentive staff. During the week a delectable and tempting range of offers are available that include deals such as Tuesday pie night where you can tuck into one of The Loaf’s award-winning pies and enjoy a pint, glass of wine or a soft drink for just £8.50 per person; Fish and chip Fridays for a mere £6.50 and half price mains on Wednesday!
As The Loaf is in incredibly close proximity to the De Montfort University campus, it comes as no surprise that the restaurant serves a hearty cooked breakfast until 3pm everyday. At lunchtime and during the evening you can tuck into juicy steaks, mouthwatering lmab shanks, hearty pasta dishes and healthy yet delicious salads!
