Quick View Christmas Offers:
There may still be over a month to go until the big day, but restaurants have been filling up for months for the festive season! If you’re running a little behind and didn’t quite get in to the restaurant you wanted, have no fear, we’ve put together a guide perfect for finding somewhere last minute for that Christmas meal.
Be Open to New Locations
Perhaps all your favourite restaurants in your county are booked up, but have you tried looking a little further afield? If you drive it’s the perfect opportunity to try something you’ve never tried before, even a new location! Using Go dine you can also search for restaurants by distance to the train station, so if you don’t drive all isn’t lost.
Celebrating your Christmas meal in a new place has more perks than just availability. There’s plenty of Christmas Fayres and events going on elsewhere, just take a look at our guides and see whats on while you’re there. It’s also the perfect chance to soak up that beautiful winter scenery in Derbyshire’s Peak District or the stunning surroundings of Rutland Water. Is there a better way to celebrate Christmas?
Try Out Some New Cuisines
Restaurants serving that traditional Christmas lunch are usually the first to book up each December, so why not try going for some different cuisine instead? Not only are there usually a few more spaces, but there are often some fantastic December deals that more traditional restaurants can’t compete with.
Indian restaurants might not be the first thing that come to mind when you’re booking a Christmas meal but they work fantastically well for big groups that love a lot of different things. With sharing menus and great group discounts, Indian restaurants are a wonderful choice for your festive feast.
There are even some traditional meals in unexpected places that are great to look out for. The Soul Kitchen (Leeds) is well known for its fantastic Caribbean food, but this Christmas is offering a family feast. For just £24.50 per person, you’ll be dished out one of everything on the menu – perfect for digging in and sharing round just like you would at home! The Royal Bengal (Northampton), which usually serves delicious Indian cuisine, also serves up a traditional roast every Christmas Day. Just £25 per person, they’ve been cooking up traditional Christmas dinners since 1975 with plenty of happy customers.
