On Monday the 16th of July 2012, the nominations for the Derby Food and Drink Awards 2012 were opened up to the public vote.
Now in its fourth year, the Awards are recognised as one of the most prestigious and sought after accolades in the region.
There are eight categories open for nominations which include Best International Restaurant, Best Lunch, Best Café, Best Pub/Bar, Best Newcomer, Best Out of Town, Best Customer Service and the highly coveted Restaurant of the Year.
Bay Tree stormed to victory winning the Best Out of Town award, sponsored by East Midlands Trains, whilst Mansion Bar and Restaurant won Best Newcomer – a highly deserved triumph, Best Customer Service and narrowly missed out on being named the Restaurant of the Year.
Voting closes on the 24th August 2012 and nominations can be submitted online by visiting www.marketderby.co.uk/foodanddrinkawards/nomination where you will also be able to see a list of the category descriptions and entry criteria for each category.
The finalists will be announced shortly after voting closes with the winners announced at the awards ceremony on the 22nd October 2012 at The Roundhouse.
