Christmas Lincoln Lights

Kick off the Christmas season with the beautiful Christmas Lights Switch On! Start off at 5pm at St Marks Shopping Centre then follow the crowds to the High Street at 6pm, where you can see the festive cheer mounting before your eyes! The shops are open later tonight, so it’s the perfect time for inspiration to strike and start shopping for Christmas presents!

A brilliant option for dinner afterwards is The Electric Bar and Restaurant, treat yourself to the Dine with Wine offer for just £27!

Lincoln Christmas Market

If you’re a visitor to Lincoln, you should make it a top priority to visit the Christmas Market. It’s in the historic Cathedral Quarter of the city, so you get to soak up the amazing atmosphere while persuing the stalls for delicious local food, crafts and presents. The market runs from the 4th of December to the 7th, so set aside an afternoon to explore the market in and around Lincoln Castle and Cathedral.

After your tiring shopping trip, you might want to head to the nearby Wig and Mitre. Their festive menu is proving popular already, with bookings starting in September! Try their traditional fare and carry on your make your Christmas Lincoln experience last!

Santa Fun Run

If you’re after something a little bit different this Christmas, why not take part in the Santa Fun Run this Christmas time in Lincoln? Over 2000 people will get a free Santa Suit and finishing medal when they run, jog, walk, or even wheel themselves over a 3.5k route starting and finishing in the picturesque Castle Square. It’s on December 14th, and is a gerat excuse to get training and maybe mitigate some of those festive treats!

It’s still Christmas, though, so after your run make sure you keep your energy up with a slap-up three course meal at the Reform restaurant at the Castle Hotel!
