Food good, quick service, nice waiter but a small faux pas of a hair!! No problem, dish was removed and replaced within 6-7 mins and wasn't charged for! That was really appreciated and will keep us coming back.

We say…

The original Bistrot Pierre. The Nottingham branch of this popular French restaurant opened in 1994 and has continued to grow in popularity ever since opening its doors. Located on Milton Street, opposite the Victoria shopping centre its central location means it is one of Nottingham’s most popular dining venues.

Each Bistrot Pierre is designed slightly differently but maintains the same high standards of service and beautifully prepared provincial French cuisine. Bistrot Pierre Nottingham is housed in a former bank that was erected at the end of the century. They have made the most of the vast space and use the old bank vaults as a rather unusual walk in pantry! The interior has also retained some its original features including huge fireplaces and the internal windows, giving the restaurant a historic charm.

The menu is packed with French classics that will satisfy everyone. Dishes such as Baked Camembert with sourdough toast and plum chutney, the Epaule D’Agneau, a mouth-wateringly tender shoulder of lamb that is slow-roasted overnight and served with a minted pea puree and Roquefort butter and Le Bistro Pierre’s Boeuf Bourguignon of thick slices of braised beef with shallots, red wine, mushrooms and bacon are must-try items. Bistro Pierre also offers a superb gluten-free menu that goes above and beyond many other restaurants. Rather than removing the sauce from dishes or removing the wafer from your ice cream they have a created a gluten-free menu that is unrestrictive. The staff have also been carefully trained to ensure that they minimise gluten-contamination.

In another unique twist, every dish on the menu has a recommended wine underneath it, which allows diners to immerse themselves in the truly French custom of perfectly matching their wines with their dishes.
