My first time in a Polish restaurant and I would go again. The food is different and I loved it, as did the rest of my family. I doubt that anyone would leave this restaurant hungry or dissatisfied. I recommend you try the slow cooked pork loin.
The hidden gem of Nottingham, a lovely family run restaurants serving home cooked polish cuisine - fantastic.

Located on Mansfield road in Sherwood, Ania’s Polish restaurant is a hidden gem of a restaurant within Nottinghamshire, which has earned a strong reputation for good honest food and friendly service. This family-run restaurant benefits from a tight family bond and sees Ania herself at helm in the kitchen whilst her son and daughter act as servers. When you enter this restaurant it is like you are being welcomed into the family but the service remains professional and unobtrusive.
The cosy restaurant decorated in refreshing neutral tones, seats around 25 people and offers a warm and intimate atmosphere enhanced by the friendly and knowledgeable waiting staff. Ania’s serves homemade Polish cuisine, rich in flavour and not short on portion size. Some of the most highly recommended dishes include the stuffed cabbage leaves, beetroot soup, pork with pineapple and cheese, an unusual combination but delicious nevertheless and the beef goulash.
At the end of the meal you are offered a shot of ‘Polish medicine’ to keep you warm on the trip home and finish the evening in an authentic fashion. The hearty food served at Ania’s will more than likely turn you into a regular as will the personal and welcoming service. There is a good selection of wines, Polish beers, spirits and soft drinks on offer and Ania is able to cater for special diets, such as Coeliacs, on request.
