Good special offers available off-peak so always good to check.

    Good service, tasty food.

    Great atmosphere and excellent food.

Starters were great. However, mains were very poor we had a party of 5 and all had the same opinion. We were seated by a large glass window and wall return. It was absolutely freezing and a very cold spot compared to other places in the restaurant, our complaint fell on deaf ears, we will not get going again.

We were a party of 8 food, the meal was lovely and the added prosecco was a hit. Plenty of choices even though it was a festive only menu would highly recommend.

    Excellent food and service.

Absolutely beautiful food and great service.

Excellent food as always. Will be back soon.

Food lovely, but at higher end of prices.

The food was lovely, but service was a bit over keen. different waiters kept coming over and asking is the same question. This was polar opposite to the last time we visited when we waited until 10 to get our main course (we arrived at 7:30 p.m.). Tables at the back feel a bit more like a takeaway environment, as opposed to the front which feels like a nice restaurant night out.

    Always good, never disappoints.

Had one of the banquets and food was amazing. Not the biggest of meals, I expected to be super full eating a banquet. About right for me but my other half was still hungry.

    Excellent food and attentive service

    Absolutely beautiful

Nice food cooked well and plenty of it. It was busy but there was a lot of staff on, meaning we never waited for anything for too long.

Once again excellent food. Amazing staff are very helpful.
It was a bit tight in there Erith a small table but it was new years Eve. Thanks again!

Excellent food as always and great service. Will be back again very soon! :)

Nice place, courteous head waiter. Started well enough. Mains slow to arrive. Needed head waiter to pick up on cues, had been overlooked.
Portions small for the price, hence would not recommend meals for 2. Pricing was not clear here cost posted was per person which made this meal expensive for what it was.

Excellent food and great service. Will be back again

Excellent food as always! Excellent service. Good to see Alex back!

Excellent! We go here often, not as much as we used to due to moving areas however it never fails us! Friendly staff, the food is unreal! Salmon sizzla is a must!

Had the Gourmet banquet for 11 people, all the food was delicious, came on time and hot, great service and excellent value, would recommend to anyone with a large party, many thanks and the birthday cake was a nice touch.

Lovely food, service could of been a bit better but in fairness they were really busy! Will definitely visit again!

Excellent food great service tables just a little close together.

Great food. Service good and quick. Great atmosphere. Not sure about the service charge.

The food was excellent the service was a little but I think it was down to the amount of people having a meal.

Great food good service, definitely be going back. We've been going regularly for years.

Everything was excellent other than the temperature of the restaurant where we were sitting it was very cold, the owners do need to address this as it was an issue which marred our experience.

Quality of food was excellent, really good value for money!

Lovely meal with friends excellent service

Great service for a reasonably priced meal of authentic Indian food. However the evening was let down by a very strong smell of cleaning chemicals upon arrival. Luckily our table was near the back of the restaurant so we couldn't smell it when we were eating. But besides that, I would recommend this restaurant.

Had a loveley meal as usual we eat here regularly and always enjoy it good food and good service 5 stars

Excellent service and delicious food at 4550 Miles From Delhi. Booked table for 14 for a work social. Extremely helpful and mixed food orders for veggies, meat and fish eaters were superb. Good priced wines too! We'll definitely come back. You have option to pre-book food which for big group worked for us. Great a la carte menu too.

Easy to book. Very helpful, we had two extra guests on the night and they quickly made room for them. We weren't rush. Meal was good, service great.

Another great meal, my favourite Indian in town!

Great meal, tasty food and fantastic service.

Brilliant meal- great service. Our Visitors absolutely love this place. Gluten free options too??

    Lovely meal

Food was fantastic and the staff were great.

A lovely restaurant with great staff but the portions were a little small! However, would definitely visit again

Excellent! Food was really good and the service matched the food. Staff were very attentive. Definitely going back and worth a visit!

Excellent meal at 4550 Miles, loved it would go again!

The best Indian food and service in town!

    Superb in every way

Excellent as always. The 241 early deal makes this a true bargain. Tastebuds still tingling from the black pepper sauce.

Really enjoyed the food and the service was quick and efficient.

Lovely food as always at 4550 Miles From Delhi, can't fault it.

We chose different starters and main courses on a '2 for 1 main courses' offer. All 4 dishes were excellent. My lamb fillet kebab starter was delicious and the Goan Fish Curry though quite hot to my palate but very tasty. This was my first experience of '4550 Miles from Delhi' and I would definitely go again. It was good value, excellent food and very good service. The restaurant was very quiet, but since we arrived at 5:45 pm that is hardly surprising.

Visited mid week, wide choice, good food well cooked and served without fuss.

I went to 4550 for the Valentine's Day buffet with my girlfriend. The venue felt a little overcrowded but the food available for the Valentine's banquet was very enjoyable.

Excellent food at the 4550 Miles From Delhi with very attentive waiting staff who were happy to recommend which dishes complimented our choices from the menu. The open kitchen where you can see the chefs at work adds to the ambiance. A little on the pricey side but we thoroughly enjoyed our food and our visit.

I'd go as far as to say 4550 Miles From Delhi is best curry house on Maid Marion.
There's a lot of options to choose from, but this one just about pips it to the line.

I have never understood why this restaurant is the popular with so many other better Indian restaurants to choose from locally; the food has invariably underwhelmed every time I have been here over the past ten years, and today was no exception; burnt lamb chops, bland fish curry.

Very nice food, do a good range of set menus if you go 4 or more people so you can try a bit of lots of dishes, some a bit bland but mostly very tasty. Good service, definitely worth a try I'd say.

Very good evening, excellent food and service. Would recommend.

We went early so the restaurant was quiet, so only 4 stars for ambience. Excellent food, great service, good early bird deal. We will return soon with our friends on a Saturday night.

    Good service.

Service without a smile. Average food with little variety in flavour.

Always a great meal here, especially when you go with a large group and can order the set menu which has something to satisfy all tastes. A true banqueting experience.

I visited 4550 Miles From Delhi with friends on a work do and we had a really good time. The restaurant is quite noisy, but its simply a popular indian restaurant in Nottingham so can't really complain. We shared a mixed grill and it was amazing - would definitely recommend. We also liked watching the open kitchen - nice touch.

A very good experience - the food was excellent.

This was our first time to this restaurant, have had a few good reviews so thought we would give it a go. Restaurant was very busy which gave off a good atmosphere, service was really good and staff continually checking everything was ok and if we needed drinks etc. Food was lovely couldn't fault it. Price wise was ok but we did feel it cost more than what we would normally spend and we didn't have a starter which we normally do at other places and find that it is cheaper. Overall good experience would go back

A party of 25 of us dined here, eating off of the Gourmet Banquet menu. The food and service was excellent. A great night out in a fantastic restaurant topped off with a very nice gesture of Tequila and Sambuca at the end of the meal. Will certainly visit again.

Good food but very poor service. We were essentially forgotten, waiting 20 minutes between courses while others around us were served quickly. Disappointing.

    Great food and great service.

As good as ever! Only try the bullet naan if you like it HOT!

We thought the service and organisation were particularly strong - our poppadoms and drinks arrived almost as one -despite a packed restaurant and a party of 17 and the restaurant coped effortlessly with late additions to what started out as a booking for 12.
Vegetarian banquet was unusual and delicious - the meat alternatives were more standard but very well done. The mixed naan breads were particularly fresh and tasty.

Food was excellent. Staff wonderful. Only thing watch for service charge included on bill at 10% hope it goes to the staff.

It was really great experience to have a lunch in 4550 miles from Delhi restaurant. They are good in offering help for every comfort in the restaurant such as helping in understanding food content and taste. I would prefer to go to this restaurant.

Popadoms came out shiney covered in oil, other than that the food was very good. Not enough time was left between courses to talk, I felt a little rushed.

Great night out - service especially good given number of large tables in at the same time.

Yet again, an absolutely superb meal. The meat is tender and succulent and the dishes are spiced well and tasty. Had a slight problem with my drink but was resolved very quickly. Probably my favourite Indian in Notts.

Food very tasty - rice really delicate, peshwari naan to die for.
    Service very good, really attentive.

    Had an excelllent meal.

All seems to be good at this place. Myself and my partner enjoyed the food. One thing I would mention is the price... Unless you have some sort of offer in place, the food seemed a bit pricey.

We ordered from the Pre-Theatre Menu and the choice and amount of food was amazing for £14.95 each. Really friendly staff, great advice offered and they kindly allowed us to order something not on the set menu. Really nice restaurant and the food was very enjoyable. Will come again!

Lovely service from these guys. Pricey curry but very delicious! The vegetarian options among the best we've seen in Nottingham - i.e. the Paneer Tikka Masala. The best curry I've had in Nottingham - will visit again - with a discount code though! ;)

First time back since the refurbishment, but the food was to die for! Will be going back very soon!!!

Nice Food and staff, lot's of choice. We asked to be moved away from the open Kitchen as it was really hot and this was not a problem for them. Would dine here again.

Excellent resturant! I would deffinately go back and would recommend to anyone. Very good value for what you get. Was very full!

We have been waiting a long time to go back to 4550 since the refurb and well worth the wait it was too!! Went for the early-bird menu and was not dissapointed, the chicken karahi was superb.

We went for the lunch time Delhi feast meal. The quality of the food was excellent at the price we paid. The ambience is marked slightly lower just because there were few other people in the restaurant. However, I have also been to this restaurant in the evening when they have been queueing out of the door and the ambience was very good.

Coming back here again since its refurb and re-opening, and was not disappointed. The refurb was an update of the decor, and looks very modern.

We chose one of the banquets and were very impressed again by the quality, presentation and amount of food we got for the price.
This place just does not disappoint. Will be coming back soon.

a really nice meal, not rushed, very tasty food, the waiters are friendly but not over friendly and they accomodated children well doing a smaller portion,, excellent

    I love eating here!
There is something about how they cook their chicken, and their sauces are usually to die for. This was no exception. The meal was fantastic, loved the new sauce for the poppadums and the waiters were their usual attentive and helpful selves.
Went away very happy and very full.

    very nice food.

It was very quiet being a mid week early lunchtime so lacked a bit of atmosphere. However, the service was good and the food lovely. Although we'd booked on line and reminded them when we arrived, they did forget to apply the 'get one main meal free offer' but quickly corrected it when we told them. We would certainly go again.

Lovely food, extensive menu. Great service. Was noisy in there (but was a Saturday evening) so great for a party /celebratory event, but as a big party of 15 we found it difficult to hear conversations going on further down the table. Aside from that a great restaurant and would definately recommend!

I was seated by the open kitchen and watched the chefs as they created my fantastic meal. Mixed starter included succulent Chicken Tikka which had just come out of the tandoor and was exquisitely tender. For main I chose Lamb tikka karahai which was mild/medium and again the lamb was beautifully soft, no need for a knife at all. Friendly service and a cooling draught Becks finished the experience perfectly. See you soon!

Overall a nice place to eat, the starter was the best really tasty, but the main cource was a little over cooked, price for dips a starter and mains with one drink each just under £50, but as I booked on this website I got a discount of 15% which was good. But the booking I made online they seemed not to know how it came about strange anyway they still gave me the discount as advertised on here.

Good table allocated to us, 6 ladies in our party, all well looked after. No waiting for drinks order, all courses piping hot, good portions.
And as it was my birthday (and they were tipped off by a friend!), a birthday cake arrived with our coffees.
    A great evening!
5 out of the 6 diners had not eaten there before, and will probably repeat book as a result of the good service and meal, etc.
    Well done.

    Good restaurant - excellent food.

Gorgeous food - we had a dish that was recommended by the waiter and it was beautiful! The restaurant was a little quiet early on in the evening but once it starts filling up the atmosphere is great! We had a brill night and that was my 5th visit to the restaurant and I and the girls look forward to many more. Thank you

    Lovely staff and atmosphere.

    A fantastic evening.

The restaurant was absolutely buzzing on arrival. We enjoyed a drink downstairs before being seated near to the open kitchen which I absolutely loved! We watched the chefs preparing all sorts of meat dishes, breads and skewered delicacy’s before being served our starter of the mixed grill for 2. There was oven baked salmon, chicken and lamb with roasted vegetables. The portions were enormous and we possibly overate before tucking into our mains of Lamb Rogan josh with mushroom rice and another rich chicken dish. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere was buzzing with one table enjoying a birthday with a cake coming out etc which is always nice to see. If you like a curry, 4550 Miles from Delhi is a great option.

Very good feedback from those dining at this restaurant - all enjoyed the food and said service for the 10 of them was very good.

We had a lovely meal and the service was outstanding - worth paying a little more for.

Good night all round. Was a big group and enjoyed the evening. Plan to visit again.

We say…

Nottingham institution of Indian dining presents the hustle and bustle of Delhi life.

4550 Miles from Delhi has been championing Indian street food in Nottingham long before it hit the mainstream, a fact which is unmissable thanks to the lifesize tuk-tuk protruding from the outside wall of the restaurant.

It’s just one of a parade of welcoming Indian restaurants along Nottingham’s Maid Marian Way which runs parallel to the city’s historic castle.

This lively Indian restaurant is a favourite among locals. Alongside the classics are hits like the lamb saagwala: tender lamb marinated in a fresh green masala of spinach, mint, coriander, green chillies and pepper, rounded off by the gentle heat of cardamom and cloves.

If you’re in town in the late afternoon then you can enjoy 25% off your food bill at 4550 when you dine from the a la carte menu between 5pm-6.30pm, making this a great option if you’re heading out to the theatre.

You may prefer to opt for one of set “banquets” and have 4550’s chefs prepare a series of all-time favourites for you instead of choosing at all!

Look out for the tuk-tuk on the side of the restaurant’s distinctive grey interior, located just west of the Old Market Square on the corner of Mount Street and Maid Marian Way.
