The Martin’s Arms is a beautiful bar and restaurant located in Colston Bassett in the Vale of Belvoir, Nottinghamshire. Voted Nottinghamshire’s ‘Dining Pub of the Year 2012’, The Martin’s Arms successfully combines the comfort of a traditional public house, the cuisine of a Michelin Star restaurant and the beautiful surroundings of a countryside retreat.

Housed within a stunning Grade II listed building, The Martin’s Arms is a truly spectacular dining destination. Situated on the corner of a quiet, leafy cul-de-sac and with the National Trust parklands just a stone’s throw away, it’s the perfect place to step out of the rat race and enjoy a few hours of ‘you’ time. When the weather permits it, guests are more than welcome to sit outside in the beautiful landscaped gardens that are overlooked only by the church spire and the occasional inquisitive sheep. Out here you can relax with a cold drink, play croquet or enjoy a casual lunch or dinner under the shade of the parasols. Inside, the establishment has a cosy, country feel about it with beautiful Jacobean fireplaces and artwork depicting hunting scenes adorning the walls. A deep and rich red colour scheme combined with period furnishings and beautiful flower arrangements create a sophisticated atmosphere and exude quality, a trait which is continued into the food. On the mantelpiece you will spy several awards including the Nottingham’s ‘Best Pub/Restaurant and a coveted Michelin accolade.

Diners can rest assured that they will always receive a quality meal when dining at the Martin’s Arms whether you are enjoying a casual meal at the bar or a full a la carte meal in the oak-tabled, silver service dining room. All meals are cooked fresh to order using only the finest and freshest ingredients on the smoked charcoal grill or in a water bath, a technique made famous by Heston Blumenthal and Sat Bains, a former Martin’s Arms Chef! Popular choices include the English Rump of Lamb served pink with new season champ, white bean and radish relish and sweet bread;  Somerset Brie risotto cake with spinach, wild mushrooms, hidden egg and truffle; and the recommended fish of the day.
