The Voujon

As the fourth addition to the Voujon family, the restaurant opened in 2007 and was met by an overwhelmingly positive response. Voujon is a beautifully decorated modern restaurant that fuses contemporary design with traditional Indian culture. The downstairs bar are is lit using tropical coloured lights giving it a bright and edgy feel. The dining room uses the full length of the first floor, offering a hugely spacious, 120 cover restaurant. All elements of the décor were designed by the talented owner and manager Anwar and high backed leather seating, immaculate white table clothes and chic silver lamp shades above most tables add to the comfort and intimacy of the dining experience. Indian ornaments and colourful paintings add an element of fun to the lounge and restaurant.

The chefs are highly trained in Bangladesh and skilfully prepare a whole range of authentic Bengali dishes. The picture perfect presentation of all dishes is coupled with the wonderful flavours of the specially prepared fresh spice infusions. Chef specialties include Murgh or Gosth Tikka, Jalfrezi, and a fabulous Voujon Special Rogan which are complemented by a fresh naan straight out of the tandoor.

The warm and friendly waiting staff make you feel instantly comfortable and all staff have a fantastic knowledge base about the cuisine they are serving as well as dietary requirements, so you can confidently embark on a new taste sensation and enjoy some of the more unusual dishes on offer.
