Conveniently located in Chilwell, just outside Nottingham city centre, is the Verve Grill. Housed within the Village Hotel on Brailsford Way, this hotel restaurant is just a stone’s throw away from the idyllic Attenborough Nature Reserve; the perfect place to go for a brisk stroll before settling down in the restaurant to fill up on the culinary delights on offer.
The Verve Grill is a chic, brasserie style restaurant that fits in well with the stylish surroundings of the hotel. Diners are welcomed in to a comfortable dining room decorated in warm terracotta and cool shades of cream. It is a good size and is able to seat everyone from a small table of two to larger parties. Verve is an ideal venue for a spot of post, or pre, shopping dining, drinks with friends, business meetings or to refuel before a hike along the nature reserve tourist trail.
The menu features a good selection of seasonal classic dishes, all of which are served by knowledgeable and attentive, yet unobtrusive, staff. Verve’s signature dishes are their steaks, with the Chateaubriand, a prime 16oz succulent fillet, for two being one of the main attractions. This superb steak is carved for you at the table, adding a bit of drama to your evening.
As well as the a la carte menu, Verve offer a superb all you can eat, five course carvery on Sunday that is perfect for families and those who love a hearty meal. The special offers such as the two dine for £29 are excellent value for money and will see you returning to Verve time after time. With so much on offer it is hard to see why anyone would want to leave, although for those who do decide to stay, there is always the option of booking one of the well-appointed rooms.
