We say…

Located in the centre of the beautiful market town of Chesterfield you will find the gem that is The Rectory. Found on the site of the former Crooked Spire pub, this new gastro-pub has a vibrant and exciting atmosphere with a menu and bar to match.

The Rectory is situated perfectly along Church Way for a spot of lunch to take a rest from an afternoon of shopping. What’s more, the restaurant is less than a five-minute walk from The Pomegranate Theatre so why not pop in for a hearty pre-theatre dinner?

Run by The Secret Dining Company, The Rectory is guaranteed to become a successful, go-to restaurant for many if their previous accolades are anything to go by. They are the team behind award winning restaurants across Derby and Burton-Upon-Trent such as The Crossing, The Exeter Arms and The Silk Mill.

The menu at The Rectory is an ingenious infusion of pub classics and fine dining without the hefty price tag. We love the Cauldron Of The Isles with a generous mix of sea bream and Scottish mussels in a chilli, garlic and herb tomato broth! Or if you’re fancying more of a pub classic then you can’t go wrong with a burger, a steak or good old Ham and Eggs! Don’t forget to leave room for dessert because it would be a crime to not have the last Chocolate Rolo® Brownie!

If you’re a fan of good food, good beers and good company then The Rectory is the place to be. The Rectory will bring a cutting-edge gastro pub, cask ale and craft keg offer to this iconic Derbyshire town.
