The Paddock is a family owned and run, newly refurbished, restaurant and eight bedroom hotel on the outskirts of Melbourne, Derbyshire. In close proximity to the Donington Park racing circuit The Paddock is a popular venue for locals and passers-by.
The restaurant is to the rear of the venue and is beautifully decorated, boasting exposed beams and high ceilings giving the dining room a light and airy feel in the daytime. In the evenings, the restaurant is cosy and provides an intimate atmosphere that is ideal for couples and group bookings. The dusty rose coloured walls and feature wallpaper give the dining room a modern twist whilst emphasising the original features.
The menu at The Paddock has recently gone through some changes but still uses the ethos of using local produce from the surrounding country side to create classic British dishes with a modern twist. The open kitchen at the back of the restaurant allows diners to watch the chefs work their magic to create the stunning dishes that work their way to the table. Hosting popular nights such as ‘Fizz and Chips’ which provides diners with a platter for two featuring mini pedigree battered fish, scampi, deep fried whitebait, home-made chunky chips, tartar sauce, mushy peas, fresh bread and butter and Prosecco, dining at The Paddock is great value for money.
