The Haus is an imposing building just off Friar Gate in the Cathedral Quarter of Derby City Centre and is perfectly situated to enjoy a fantastic meal, and either stay and enjoy a post meal drink or two or meander to one of the many other bars no more than 200 yards away. Within a Jacobean House built in 1611 The Haus is Derby’s oldest brick building and is home to a recently refurbished restaurant using modern and contemporary fittings.

Serving fantastic modern British cuisine equals the surroundings and there is a good choice of freshly prepared dishes on offer making The Haus an ideal venue for lunch or dinner friends, business meetings or family celebrations. A set menu of 2 courses makes Cfor an excellent choice for example Chicken, pistachio and spinach Terrine for start, sets up ideally for Lamb Shank on a parsnip and potato mash with red wine.

There are 2 dining areas for visitors depending on the party size. Upstairs there is a fantastic area that can be reserved for private parties and includes its own bar and lounge areas for guests to mingle before or after a hearty meal. The main ding area with original wooden panelled walls and feature fire places is lovely area to sit and relax and enjoy the professional yet friendly service.

The food was delicious my fillet medallions were perfectly cooked especialy when you like it medium.would reccomend and go again .
