Tarboush is a Middle Eastern restaurant in Loughborough. Tarboush is a new addition to Loughborough’s restaurant scene and fills a gap in the market for authentic Middle Eastern cuisine. The Mezze meals are one of the restaurants’ specialities and guests are encouraged to pick and choose from a wide variety of dishes encouraging sharing and conversation. Messe dishes includes classics such as Houmous Bi Tahnia, Chickpeas pureed with sesame paste and lemon juice topped with olive oil; Moroccan Couscous with or without chicken; and Batata Hara, fried cubes of potato marinated in garlic, chilli paste and coriander and served with salad, are all excellent choices. More adventurous diners will discover dishes such as Baba Ganouj, rolled vine leaves stuffed with tomato, onion and mint and flavoured with lemon juice and olive oil; and Kebbeb Shamih, fried, cracked, wheat shells filled with minced lamb mixed with traditional herbs, spices and nuts.

For those looking for a completely authentic experience, why not finish with a shisha pipe? Tarboush offer a selection of fruit flavoured, smoking water pipes in their front garden.
