We had a meal for 4 - less spicy option. Food was great as was service.
Very busy restaurant but we enjoyed the ritzy atmosphere.
    Will definitely go again.

Excellent food friendly staff but service was a bit rushed in and out within 35 minutes.

The food was delicious as always but the service very slow which was disappointing as the restaurant was quiet. Long wait for drinks and to initially order but the food when it arrived was fabulous - usually attend the chapel allerton restaurant which is much more authentic in its decor than headingley.

Delicious as usual, and a generous portion. Love those flavours!

The food was sensational, as always from Sukhothai. The value for money was great on the Early Bird menu but we did have to ask for the early bird menu even though we had booked it and it was between the allocated time, which was a bit cheeky. But they gave us the menu with no questions once we asked - problem over. We then went to enjoy a wonderful meal and considering it was mid-week and early, the place started to fill up which is unsurprising considering the quality of the food.
All in all - great value and will 100% be going there again.

Lovely meal, with a great range for everyone. As a vegetarian, not all restaurants offer much choice, but Sukhothai has a very extensive vegetarian menu. The drinks list has plenty of options which complement the menu. Service was great, as usual. It was very busy the night we went. A tad loud, but still a great atmosphere.

All great, just had to wait on arrival for quite some time without being attended to, despite having a table reservations!

The food here is amazing, I'll always recommend the weeping tiger. Service is fantastic and after the refurbishment the ambiance at Sukhothai is even nicer! Thoroughly recommended.

As always the food and service was amazing, Sukhothai is the best Thai restaurant in Leeds!

Been here once before, but since there has been a major changes to the restaurant. Lots more space and with there being two of our party with walking difficulties, it proved a big advantage. The food was amazing, and with being a party of nine all the courses was served together. Starters, main courses and sweet courses all excellent and plenty of choices. The restaurant atmosphere and decoration all very good. The staff were all really helpful and had great knowledge of all the food being served. They couldn't do enough for you. Compared to other restaurants, there was plenty of value and very reasonable. Thanks for a wonderful evening, and not being rushed made it a great evening.

A fabulous time, great service and food.

Food and service lovely. Excellent menu plenty of choice for non meat or fish eaters. Surrounding very nice but a little noisy.

I have visited this restaurant in both Headingley and Chapel Allerton - boht of them have been fantastic! Sukhothai gives an authentic dining experience from the very get go, with not only the food but the restaurants decorations. Plenty of dishes both meat, vegetarian and seafood on offer giving an abundant amount of dishes to pick from.

Great thai restaurant with a fantastic decor containing many artifacts straight from thailand. The waitress we had looked after us wel and made sure we were always topped up, and with a smile. Food was good as always and for 2 people eating 2 courses and a bottle of wine, it only came to £33! we have now decided to call sukothai our 'local' as we feel so at home here.

We say…

Sukhothai in Headingley is the second Sukhothai Thai restaurant to open in Leeds. Situated just off Otley Road on the corner of St Anne’s Road, the restaurant provides the same ambience, comfort and styling of the Chapel Allerton branch. Its out-of-town location means that guests at Sukhothai Headingley are able to enjoy the same delicious food without the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

The restaurant boasts a collection of specially imported Thai artefacts and ornaments to give guests an authentic dining experience from start to finish. With intricately carved stone and wood plaques on the walls and ceiling, Sukhothai does a fantastic job of completely immersing diners in Thai culture. Due to the opulence of the décor, the rest of the restaurant is kept low-key, with simple table settings and gentle spotlights to lift the room.

The restaurant’s concentration on fresh produce, cooked simply to release the natural flavours makes it a haven for those looking for the highest standard of Thai cuisine. As Ban the restaurant owner believes, Thai food is a harmony of different tastes and is based on the flavours of spicy, sweet, sour and salty. All dishes can be cooked to your own preferred tastes: if you want the heat turned up a bit, the chefs are happy to oblige.

The menu offers a vast array of authentic Thai dishes, including the universally popular Pad Thai noodles and Thai green curry as well as more unusual but equally delicious items such as Phed Ma Kham, sliced roast breast of duck with mixed vegetables, topped with a tamarind sauce. A number of fish dishes also demand attention such as the stunning Pla Neung Manow, or seabass steamed with Chinese leaf, chilli, coriander, lemon and garlic. There is also a fabulous selection of vegetarian dishes that are packed with flavour and presented spectacularly.

Sukhothai in Headingly is a fabulous Thai restaurant that is perfect for connoisseurs and first-time triers of Thai cuisine alike. A visit is highly recommended if you're looking to try Thai food for the first time or revisit your old favourites should you already be a connoisseur of the cuisine.
