Situated in Leopold Square in Sheffield city centre is one of the UK’s most widely spread Italian restaurants; Strada. This branch sits just a few minutes from popular tourist attractions such as the Crucible Theatre and the Graves Art Gallery.
Leopold Square used to be the site of an old school and diners at Strada can still enjoy some of the architecture when dining in the well-lit al fresco dining area at the front of the venue. Though Strada is part of a chain, every restaurant is decorated slightly differently, allowing the personality of each venue to shine through. Strada Sheffield is a light and airy restaurant with plenty of comfortable seating and a large open plan dining room featuring a bar. Pops of the iconic Strada red accentuate the light fixtures and cushions and is also used on the eye-catching parasols at the front of the venue.
Strada has become renowned for serving affordable, authentic Italian cuisine. On the menu you can expect to find a good selection of classic Italian dishes with nothing too wild. Pastas, risottos, pizzas, fish and meat all feature and a separate children’s menu ensures that everyone is well catered for. Popular dishes include the Risotto Luganica; Porcini mushroom risotto with Luganica pork sausage, chestnut mushrooms, white wine parsley and Grana Padano, Spagehetti Ragu; a rich, slowly braised minced beef, red wine, onion, tomato and herb ragu served with spaghetti, and the classic Margherita pizza topped with fresh tomato, basil and mozzarella cheese.
This venue is perfect for any size group, from an intimate meal all the way up to a large gathering. The food is consistently good and very reasonably priced, hence its popularity.
