Strada Nottingham is just one of the many restaurants in Nottingham city centre associated with the Cornerhouse complex. Less than two minutes’ walk from the Royal Centre theatre, nightlife hotspots, a casino and cinema, Strada is situated in a perfect place to drop in for a bite to eat, whatever your plans for the day are.
Strada Nottingham is just one of hundreds of Strada restaurants that have spread across the UK like wildfire. Serving delicious Italian cuisine for a reasonable price in comfortable and stylish surroundings has seen the name grow, with new branches being opened every year. Despite being a chain, each Strada is designed slightly differently, allowing the personality of the building to shine through. Strada Nottingham is bright and airy in the day time before simmering down to become warm and cosy in the evening. There is an abundance of comfortable booth seating as well as round tables and larger areas that are perfect for groups. The décor is kept neutral and stylish, with the odd pop of that classic Strada red.
The menu features a range of popular Italian dishes with pizzas, pasta, fish, salad and meat dishes. The antipasto is a brilliant way to prepare your taste buds for the delicious food to come. Favourites include the Antipasto Misto; a platter of Parma ham, Speck and Napoli salami, buffalo mozzarella, vine-ripened tomatoes, olives and chargrilled ciabatta, and the Funghi Timo e Crema packed with seasonal mushrooms sautéed with garlic in a cream, porcini and thyme sauce on grilled polenta with grana padano. The mains all sound delicious and with options such as the classic Spaghetti al Ragu; pasta topped with a rich, slow braised minced beef, tomato, red wine, onion and herb ragu, and Tagliata di Manzo; juicy strips of sirloin steak marinated and chargrilled, laid on a salad of baby spinach, rocket, green beans, tomato, shaved parmesan and a balsamic and rosemary dressing, you really are spoilt for choice. An express dinner and lunch menu is also available for diners who want a quick but quality meal.
Succeeding in not letting value compromise on style and quality, Strada offer a memorable dining experience, ideal for theatre goers, families and private functions alike.

Although I booked for a pre-theatre meal, I was not offered one. As it happened the pre-theatre menu was limited so we chose from the main menu. Service was quick, but I was brought the wrong meal which meant my friend ate hers alone or it would have been cold. Service charge added without being given an option. Strada wouldn't be my first choice.

Very friendly staff, the food portions were abit small and I have the fish stew which I wouldn't recommend as barely any fish!

We booked the pre-theatre £10.50 menu (excellent value for a friday event)and had a great meal. 8 yummy mummies in a booth. The menu had a choice of a couple of starters and then about 6 mains. The staff were very attentive and the food came quickly and was very tasty.

I was pleasantly surprised by Strada. I expected a reasonable standard, but the food and service were excellent. We ended up the only couple in there, but did not feel rushed or in the way at all. Our waiter was warm and friendly, giving us plenty of time to choose and recommended a delicious antipasto. We had the added bonus of a discount courtesty of a local loyalty card. I will definitely dine there again.

Very nice place, food was lovely and contemporary. Service was quite prompt, even though waiter forgot one of the main courses, but came quickly back to ask.
Wasn't too expensive, competitive with the places in the immediate vacinity

We always enjoy going to Strada - the menu offers a range of thoughtful dishes that seem to tie up 'traditional' types of Italian food with some modern twists. the food was good as ever, hot, well flavoured and my rib eye steak was perfectly 'medium rare' just as I like it. The only minor fault (which is more about personal taste than error) was that my son's GF did not like the vegetarian pasta dish, said that the aubergine chinks were too large. No accounting for taste. Service is attentive, but at busy times like Saturday night, can be a bit slow. However, I've been in pre-theatre and told the waitress right from the start that we had a limited time slot and she made jolly sure that we were fed and watered and out in that slot.
The only slight downside was the noise last night. Music was too loud combined with a packed restaurant in a spacious, high ceilinged restaurant combined to make it a bit of a wall of noise for us, but hey it was Saturday night in Nottingham.

Food was overcooked.

Nice restaurant atmosphere to have good conversation. Service was a bit slow but the food was classy, could have done with a bit more for the price though. Overall, very satisfied!

Food was good but took 20 minutes to get my tap water

Great food - good service - great all round value... Although it wasn't busy there was still a nice atmosphere...

Execellent food and service even though they were very busy.
Only down side was that I had to remind them about the discount from booking through 'Go dine' but once I'd alerted them to this they took the discount off straight away.
I definatley would go again.
