Located just over 10 miles outside of Nottingham city centre, The Sanctuary Bar and Restaurant is exactly what it says on the tin; a sanctuary. Just off the A52 and in close proximity to the Radcliffe-on-Trent golf club, this stylish and tranquil venue offers guests a peaceful haven where they can enjoy a delicious bite to eat, chilled out drinks and a few hours just to unwind away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The Sanctuary is a stunning restaurant and bar that is decorated luxuriously with a decadent and opulent theme in mind. The restaurant is a neutral affair with cream walls, cream leather booths and chairs and monochrome accents that are all softly lit to create a soothing ambience. With several dining rooms available, there is a room to suit every occasion and mood from friends gathering for a sophisticated dinner to families with small children celebrating a special occasion and couples looking for an intimate meal for two.  Private parties will also find themselves well catered for with a large function room available and a Chef who is more than able and incredibly wiling to create and deliver delicious bespoke menus that would be the perfect finishing touch for a special occasion such as a wedding, christening or birthday party.

The kitchen at The Sanctuary has a wide selection of menus to choose from. Whether you are dropping in for nibbles at the bar, Sunday lunch with the kids or a romantic meal for two, there is a menu to suit your requirements. Each features a fantastic array of European dishes ranging from pan-fried bream with spiced cauliflower fritters and chargrilled baby gem lettuce to lamb shank with dauphinoise potatoes and roasted root vegetables, and linguine with mushrooms, leeks and spinach topped with shaved parmesan. A delectable Sunday lunch menu comes highly recommended and even the kids will be kept happy with a special children’s menu available all day.

The Sanctuary bar and restaurant at Radcliffe-on-Trent is a decadent venue that offers relaxed dining and a soothing atmosphere that is perfect for washing away the stresses of the day and unwinding for an hour or two.

Overall

Went for Sunday lunch and had a lovely time! The restaurant is very sophisticated but so family friendly - it even has a toy box and colouring books to keep the kids entertained. Food was lovely and very good value for money. Will be returning.
