Located inside one of Nottingham’s many old buildings, the restaurant is large, accommodating and welcoming with large, full length steel framed windows running the length of the building. As you walk through the restaurant you will notice how the colour scheme has been kept to a palette of three colours, red, white and black. This gives the dining room and modern feel and creates the perfect canvas for the authentic Italian cuisine to take centre stage. Diners can also watch their pizzas being hand tossed in the open kitchen and savour the fragrances emanating from the fresh ingredients which Pizzeria Savai pride themselves on.
The menu is strictly authentic Italian and features classic dishes ranging from Spaghetti Bolognese with a traditional homemade ragu of beef, herbs and napoletana sauce to Salata Di Parma, a salad of crispy breaded chicken with mozzarella and Parma ham served with a sweet honey and mustard dressing. The stand-out dishes have to be the pizzas, with the bases made fresh every day using an authentic recipe. They are 100% fat free and are hand-spun to give a unique, delicate texture before being baked in the stone oven. Toppings include the classic Margherita and the Cicci Savai; topped with mozzarella, tomato, Parma ham and brie.
As well as a fabulous meal, Pizzeria Savai are able to cater for weddings, parties and even have a private conferencing suite that can be hired for a half or full day.
