The Oriental Pearl is a restaurant so chic and elegant that you’d expect to find it in Nottingham city centre. Instead it can be found just a short distance away in the leafy, suburban paradise of West Bridgford, an area which is renowned for its fine dining and bars. Situated on the corner of Stratford Road and Bridgford Road, The Oriental Pearl is just a short walk from other popular venues such as Fire and Ice.
The restaurant is designed to optimise the authentic Chinese dining experience and every item you see has been carefully thought out and placed. Intricate Oriental furniture, screen and art are surrounded by fine Chinese silks and bathed in mood lighting to create an opulent and luxurious atmosphere. The upstairs a la carte restaurant is dotted with Chinese lanterns and would be perfect for a romantic occasion or a special celebration.
The Oriental Peal represents the epitome of fine Chinese and Cantonese dining with and extensive menu covering a delicious selection of appetisers, seafood, meat, poultry and vegetarian dishes, rice and noodles. Stand-out dishes, though hard to choose, include the Lemon Chicken, one of The Oriental Pearls’ speciality dishes of gently fried chicken breast in a lemon sauce; Crispy Duck, which is shredded at your table and is served with pancakes, hoisin sauce, cucumber and spring rolls, and Teriyaki Salmon. The Oriental Pearl restaurant is also famed for its sublime and generous platters as well as its ingenious and creative special main courses.
A highly accommodating venue, diners can order cocktails and snacks from the bar, or move to the Skyline lounge and sink into the Chinese silk banquets for a casual lunch or stylish meal. Treasure this pearl and taste the Orient.

Service was found to be above average. The food was a little on the cool side. Not really warranting the prices charged.

A nice enough restaurant - nothing special but if you want to go out for a chinese meal at a reasonable price then this is the one to go for

We ate here with friends after a Forest match and like always very busy downstairs in the bar. Also upstairs bigger restaurant than I expected. The food came very quickly but I dont know if I would eat here again. It was OK but nothing special.
