Located in West Bridgford in Nottingham is The Monkey Tree, an informal restaurant and relaxed bar. Guests at The Monkey Tree can benefit from a large al fresco area at the front of the venue that is arranged around the iconic Monkey Tree tree. As you step inside you are welcomed in to a world of calm, with highly polished floors, leather sofas and chairs and several smaller tables that are ideal for enjoying a quick bite to eat. On the first floor is an inviting dining room with a coffee and chocolate colour scheme. The striped wallpaper, carpet and matching chairs sounds over the top but works perfectly, creating a trendy backdrop for any occasion.

The menu features dishes from across the globe as well as sticking to the traditional food that everybody loves. Proprietor and Head Chef, Peter Smith, is well renowned for his success in the restaurant trade and has maintained his philosophy of serving high-quality, creating cooking without losing sight of what is important; freshness, local produce and customer service. You can expect to find dishes such as Guinness battered cod with mushy peas, rustic fries and tartar sauce; Taylors own Wild boar and orange sausages with grain mustard and parsnip mash served with onion gravy and parsnip crisps, and Fettuccine with goats cheese, roast red peppers and basil cream. The menu is incredibly good value for money and as well as offering delicious meat dishes, a good variety of vegetarian dishes are also available.

As well as good food and drinks, this venue is also renowned for its special event nights which include Gourmet tasting evenings and live music, completeing the package.
