Leicester is a city that is highly renowned for its multitude of Indian restaurants and you will be hard-pushed to find a better Indian restaurant than MemSaab. Conveniently situated in the High Cross development in the city centre, MemSaab fine dining restaurant and champagne bar is a beautiful sanctuary to retreat to after a day’s shopping or to enjoy a special night out.
Upon entering MemSaab you know you are about to experience something truly special. The lounge is decadent and contemporary and features a baby grand piano, which is used to set the scene during evening service at the weekend. The comfortable sofas provide the perfect perch for sipping champagne and cocktails before heading into the main restaurant. With clean, minimal lines and modern décor, MemSaab is effortlessly chic whilst maintaining a link to the buildings heritage with the original brickwork of the ancient building that the restaurant is housed within being exposed to add warmth.
There is a choice of four dining areas for guests to choose from and the first floor dining room is perfect for adding something extra to a special occasion with its high ceilings and balcony overlooking the High Cross. Larger groups wanting a really special experience can book the chef’s table and watch the highly skilled chefs prepare a delectable eight course tasting menu that can be customised to your parties requirements.
MemSaab prides itself on its preparation and presentation of authentic Indian cuisine where the chef ‘is not hell bent on creating firey misery’ and allows every individual flavour to shine through. The traditional Punjabi cuisine includes signature Tandoori dishes cooked in a clay oven as well as melt in the mouth Butter Chicken Masala and King Prawn Muglai. For a light lunch the Tandoori Naan wraps with tikka salad make a delightful alternative to a full meal.
MemSaab Leicester is far more than your average Indian dining experience. With fine dining roots and authentic food, its perfect for any occasion. Book online, highlighting any special requests and perfectionists Adi and Raj, who make up the management team, will ensure a fantastic and memorable meal.

Great food with ambience to match. Entertainment provided also with a magician was a welcome addition. Only down side is slightly expensive and limited toilets for the size of restaurant.

The £6.95 speedy lunch menu is incredible value for money. The food was delicious, as good if not better than other Indian restaurants where the starter alone would cost the same as the whole meal. Drinks quite expensive, cost us twice as much for the drinks as it did the meal, but I suppose that is where the money is made up. Still a fantastic lunch, great service clean modern restaurant - we will be back for more....

Didn't know what to expect, I had seen it was a little more expensive than the norm but was not disapointed. Was worth every penny and the chicken tikka was awesome
