The London Club in Sheffield is a stylish venue offering a modern, British twist on classic Parisian bistro dining. Situated in the heart of Sheffield city centre, near to The Brown Bear, Ego Mediterranean and the Halifax on Surrey Street, it is in a great central location. Guests will be able identify the restaurant by its glitzy, overhanging entrance that invites guests to explore further in.
The restaurants aim is to provide diners with an escape from over-complicated formal dining whilst continuing to provide fantastic food at a reasonable price. The dining room is sleek and chic with soft lighting, contrasting white tables cloths with black and red décor and stunning flower arrangements. Even the bar is beautiful, with a highly polished surface, red wood sides and white bar stools, it oozes Hollywood glamour.
The menu is concise and perfectly balanced and Head Chef Chris Wilmot, under the watchful eye of home grown talent Cary Brown, ensure that quality is paramount. Stand-out dishes include the Confit Duck Leg accompanied by a pickled cherry compote, black pudding and bubble and squeak; ‘Fish and Chips’ which is composed of haddock and chips cooked in beef dripping with tartar sauce and mushy peas and the devilish Hazelnut Nougat Glace with its chocolate spring roll, toffee popcorn and milk chocolate ice cream.
The London Club is ideal for a special occasion. The main dining room and the smaller Private Hire room would make the perfect venue for a wedding or a party. Each room has its own bar and is immaculately presented.
