We spent our 50th wedding anniversay at the living room in September it was a lovely meal and the staff ect was great, we had a family party later but on the day it was just us.
We went again yesterday and was equally impressed.

Lovely meal, but very noisey due to other guests and we couldn't change tables as they were apparently reserved. The sharing sea food platter starter was very greesey so I would avoid that again, but the sharing platter dessert and white choc chhese cake were delicious. Always a great chicken pesto burger in there too.

Expectations were quite high and the setting of the restaurant was lovely. Food took a long time to arrive (which wasn't necessarily bad for us but you might have to mention if you want a quicker lunch). Food itself was good. Only problems were that it was a tad bland, and some of the courses a bit cold. All in all, the lunch menu was good value but as my expectations were so high from hearing such great things I was slightly disappointed.

We had the Christmas lunch which was mostly very good, the veg was a little dry and service slow compared to usual visits, to say we were only dining with a small number of other diners it took us 1hr 40mins to be served 3 courses. Overall the food was good. We will visit again in the new year.

Regretably I have to report that the seating was most uncomfrtable. 4 people cannot sit comfortably to dine around the cresent shaped cubical at this restaurant. Unfortunately the staff would not move us even though there were other empty or less used tables nearby. That spoilt the evening for us. So when booking for 4 people specifically ask NOT to be seated in one of the cubicals.

They had prepared a Vegan menu for myself, but only had one of each on the menu but my friend who is a Vegetarian wanted the same dish and one wasn't available.
The fish and chips nice, however there was more batter than fish, they did let us pay for only half of this dish.
The waiter was polite but a little over friendly as he slouched on some of the furniture whilst taking our order and speaking to us.
