Las Iguanas Leicester is located on Belvoir Street close to Yates’s  and is under five minutes’ walk from Leicester train station. It’s central location and proximity to some of Leicester’s most popular venues means that is it the perfect restaurant to enjoy as a standalone evening or as a starting point for an adventurous night out.

Las Iguanas is a large chain restaurant which originally started in Bristol back in 1991. Since then it is has spread like wild fire due to the popularity of its Latin style food and drink and the lively atmosphere of its many venues.

The restaurant itself is decorated in vibrant colours with a selection of comfortable chairs, sofas and booths. It is an extremely versatile restaurant, with the scope to satisfy couples looking for an intimate meal or a large celebration. The food follows the same suit as the restaurant décor with a vast selection of fresh and vibrant dishes on offer.

On the menu you will find Latin cuisines packed with flavour and character. Stand out dishes include the delicious Brazilian Xinxim Chicken, a dish apparently favoured by footballer Pele. This delicious dish includes chicken in a rich, creamy peanut and crayfish sauce that comes in a ceramic dish with its own candle underneath to keep it fresh and bubbling for you. It comes served with rice, sweet plantain, fine green beans and coconut forofa to sprinkle over the top. Other classic favourites include their Famous Fajitas with a choice of fillings, superb Tapas and sharing dishes and of course, the Big Burrito.

As well as delicious food, Las Iguanas are renowned for their cocktails which you can enjoy almost every day under their two-for-one deal.

Overall

not your typical chain restaurant, attentive and knowledgeable waiters and a high quality of food. It certainly has that little extra than your average highstreet restaurant. (probably helps that is love south american cuisine!!!)
