Langar Hall

At the end of an avenue of lime trees in the Vale of Belvoir, just twelve miles outside of Nottingham city centre, lies Langar Hall. A small and charming country house that has gently evolved over time into a hotel and restaurant, Langar Hall holds onto the air of a family home and provides a retreat for city-weary minds and bodies throughout the year. Families will also find themselves well catered for as the trampoline in the garden and toy box in the study will keep the little ones entertained until their heads hit the pillow.

Nestled in a secluded and tranquil location beside a 12^th century village church overlooking beautifully landscaped gardens, medieval carp ponds and ancient parkland, Langar Hall enjoys a reputation for exceptional hospitality, friendly service and second-to-none cuisine. The venue is an incredibly popular choice for wedding receptions, weekend getaways, business conferences and meetings, sophisticated lunches and lingering evenings spent enjoying fine wine and fine food with loved ones. The restaurant is a favourite meeting place for locals who love the ambience and the fabulous menu.

The menu boasts a good selection of starters, mains and desserts as well as many imaginative vegetarian options. Throughout the week a delicious a la carte menus is available alongside a value for money set menu of the day. The seasonal dishes are all cooked to order and vary day to day but fresh ingredients and an abundance of local produce remain constant. During the winter you can expect to find plenty of local meat and game whilst the summertime sees a wave of fresh fish and shellfish dominating the menu. Inspired by the demands for health-conscious fare, the dishes and accompanying sauces are all light and fresh, though those with a sweet tooth will have a hard time staying away from the decadent dessert menu which includes heavenly homemade ice creams. The Chefs are all incredibly talented and passionate about food, and this is reflected in the delicate balance of flavours and stunning presentation. In addition to this, they also have good knowledge of food intolerances and are more than happy to create dishes to suit any dietary requirement upon request.

The main dining room is warm, welcoming, indulgent and elaborate with beautiful upholstery, carved stone statues and candlelight. The effect is romantic, intimate and inimitable; a perfect backdrop for a dinner date or special occasion. In addition the main dining room the Garden Room, a bright and airy conservatory that overlooks the sweeping lawns and countryside that surrounds Langar Hall, is open all day for afternoon tea, drinks and light bites. Even on the darkest days the Garden Room is a cosy and welcoming and during the summer, when it’s hot, guests are encouraged to spill out onto the terrace and make the most of the summertime sun. Private parties and businesses will also find all of their needs met by the Hall with private dining suites such as The Indian Room and The Library available for private hire for tables of 6 all the way up to 60. For really special occasions, the main dining room can even be hired exclusively for the evening.
