Situated 15 minutes south west of Daventry in idyllic Northamptonshire countryside is Hellidon Lakes, the ideal retreat for diners looking for quality food in lush surroundings. The Lakes Brasserie restaurant commands beautiful views over the 220 acre grounds and expansive rush fringed lakes.
Hellidon Lakes really is a hidden gem with the restaurant playing a key role in attracting guests from far afield. The food is the main attraction bringing so many to dine at Hellidon Lakes, however there are some new reasons to make a visit even more worth while. Hellidon Lakes is now home to a recently completed stunning al fresco dining area and conservatory perfect for summer months. Visitors can enjoy a cooling Pimm’s or a fantastic afternoon tea as pictured above. In the evenings, (weather permitting of course), diners can to sit outside and enjoy their beautifully created dishes. If the sun isn't shining on your day out don't worry, the restaurant itself is cosy and warm and you can sit in the lounge areas next to the fire afterwards!
Inspired by fresh seasonal produce, the ever changing menus is a real treat. When available start with the Chicken and Mediterranean vegetable terrine or the Salmon Tartar with Dill Crème Fraiche which are both good options. Follow with Slow Cooked belly of Pork or Braised beef with roasted vegetables and a punchy horseradish sauce for a sustaining and comforting meal.
