Home Bar and Restaurant is located in the popular area of Daybrook in Arnold, Nottingham just round the corner from Sainsbury’s on the High Street. It is a stunning, award-winning bar and restaurant that is set over two levels and is designed with an extravagant and indulgent vintage theme in mind.

The décor is rich and lavish, with a combination of vintage flock wallpaper, gold mirrors, chandeliers and a sumptuous palette of gold, chocolate and cream it feels cosy yet exciting and edgy. Downstairs you will find the bar which is surrounded by inviting, coffee coloured sofas that demand to be sat on and upstairs is the main dining room with its exposed brick walls and leather seats. In the day time you can expect to be soothed by a gentle jazz soundtrack in the background that steps up to an Indy, soul and disco vibe at weekends.

Home pride themselves on using the best seasonally available ingredients to create beautiful home cooking. Signature dishes on Home’s British menu include Derbyshire 10oz fillet of beef with horseradish and onion rosti, glazed baby carrots, leek and a port jus; or the delicious Ballontine of Chicken wrapped in Savoy cabbage and smoked bacon.

The bar is well thought out bar serving chilled continental beers, cask ales, boutique wines, premium spirits and Italian grade coffee. Home is suitable for intimate dining experiences and larger group bookings and offers something that everyone can enjoy.

Overall

I hadn't been in a while and was really impressed how things have improved since the new chef had taken over. The food was excellent and well presented and the service was very good. Would recommend a visit.

Overall

The food and ambience were really amazing. I was expecting a £70 bill, but it was £40 so, value-wise, it was amazing. This was for a starter, main and a bottle of wine for two people. Service was alright, but nothing special. There was some live music at the end of our meal, which was quite nice, although too loud. Recommended restaurant for everyone.
