Tucked away on Arnhill Road in the pretty village of Gretton is The Hatton Arms pub and restaurant. Reputed to be the second oldest public house in Northampton, this venue dates back to the 14th century and is steeped in history. Conveniently located just 3 miles north of Corby and five miles from Uppingham, The Hatton Arms is a restaurant that can be enjoyed by everyone, not just the locals.
The Hatton Arms has long been at the heart of the community but husband and wife team, Julie and Neil, offer a warm welcome to all. The duo are proud of their venue which features a traditional pub to the front and a restaurant to the rear which offers panoramic views across the unspoilt Welland Valley. With exposed brick walls and wood panelling in the dining room, the Hatton Arms offers diners a warm and rustic atmosphere where they can linger over a meal. The bar and lounge area features wooden beams on the ceiling, a brick fireplace, upholstered church pews and pewter tankards hanging above the bar. Everything is in keeping with the heritage of this stunning building.
With Julie at the front of house and Neil in the kitchen , dining at The Hatton Arms is an incredibly pleasant experience. Serving classic British dishes as well as no-nonsense pub grub, you are guaranteed to find something to tickle your taste buds. With dishes such as beef, mushroom and ale pie served with creamy mash or chips and a selection of seasonal vegetables, roast loin of cod wrapped in Parma ham on a bed of pea and prawn risotto, and classic Lincolnshire sausages with buttery mash with onion gravy, you will be spoilt for choice, and planning when you can visit next to sample the rest of the menu!
With easy access to Rutland Water and the Harringworth Viaduct, The Hatton Arms in Gretton, makes for a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing and exploring the beautiful local area.
