Go dine review
Located next to the Cottage Road Cinema a few minutes’ walk from Leeds Metropolitan University is Giorgio’s, the latest offering from George and Vasoulla Psarias, owners of the well-reputed and award-winning Olive Tree Restaurants across Leeds.
The restaurant is a modern and contemporary dining space with crisp neutrals and bright zings of colour that creates a comfortable and fresh place to enjoy the Italian cuisine on offer. The restaurant offers a lounge area incorporating a bar, a larger main dining room and smaller dining room to the rear perfect for work or family celebrations. Adorning the walls are notes to Italy, with pictures and Italian artefacts that capture the essence of the beautiful country.
The food on offer is typically Mediterranean and with the knowledge gained from years of restaurant experience, the team at Giorgio’s understand what makes for an Italian meal as well as having great knowledge of their own dishes, flavours and textures. There is plenty of choice at Giorgio’s with a variety of pizza, pasta and specials as well as catering well for vegetarians. Fish lovers are also in good company and the Smoked Fish Platter from the chef’s specials menu is a great starter and is perfectly accompanied with bread and dipping oils. For mains, classic dishes such as pizza and pastas are perfectly executed with the Rustica Pizza and Ricotta Cannelloni Fiorentina taking pride of place.
Deserts sit in a strategically inviting place in a glass refrigerated unit with classics such as Tiramisu and Gooey chocolate inviting guests to go that one course further.

Had a special birthday celebration here - wonderful night with excellent food and service and great atmosphere. Several friends contacted me the next day to say what a lovely evening it had been. Highly recommended.

Lovely food in very pleasant environment. Lots of atmosphere even at half six in the evening. Staff are all very friendly and this is clearly a popular place. Menu choice is extensive so there will be something for everyone. Have visited the place twice now and have recommended to friends who have also been impressed.

Excelent food and a pleasant atmosphere. Food came very quickly although we did feel like we were being rushed so they could have the table.
Will definately go back but will try mid-week to see if it is a bit more relaxed.

We booked to go to Girogios a week after we had been for an amazing meal at "davinos" on otley road which won "best Italian", so we knew this place had some big boots to fill. however, A recent fantastic review in the Yorkshire Evening Post set our expectations. The decor of the restaurant was very modern, and the place had a very "new" feeling to it. We were shown to our table, but the tables were very small. the staff were very friendly and took our order quite quickly. The calamari starter was one of the best i have had for years. The main courses we got were also very nice, very well presented and also portions were generous. The only down point was, because the tables were so small, fitting 4 mains, a bottle of wine, wine glasses, and a garlic bread to share in the middle it became a little cramped. The cold lemon shots they brought before the bill was very refreshing and apart from them forgetting to add the 20% discount for booking through 'go dine', it was a very pleasant meal

Will definitely visit again.

Enjoyed our meal though the wine we chose was not as good as expected given the price of the bottle. We will eat there again as the menu choice was good. We'll just choose a different (probably cheaper) wine.

4 friends went on a Tuesday night, there were a number of full tables, we were surprised it was busy for a cold tuesday in January. The waitress and owner were very polite and attentive, everything was just right, even the complicated requirements for tea and coffee were spot on. Great food - Lovely evening.
