Excellent food and good service although I would not recommend the "bundles" as the choice is very limited.

The staff, service and the venue were excellent. The live music added to experience.
The table we were offered at the Fire Lake Grill House wasn't suitable as two of the party weren't able to sit on the high stools, but the staff sorted everything very quickly.
Only downside was the fact we all agreed the meal was over priced for what we actually had.
I would try it out again however.

Excellent food at Fire Lake. Decor good. Service from front staff was very good just slightly slow from the kitchen, but only minor criticism.

Excellent meal with a friend at the Fire Lake Grill House. We ate from the ordinary menu which had a few nice choices but wasn't impressed with the choices for the set meals. It needs more of a variety. However, there were some lovely staff and great service!

Excellent meal at the Fire Lake Grill House, staff were amazing. There was twelve of us and they had our meals brought out together at the same time, all of which were very well presented and delicious! Would definitely recommend. Trying hard to find fault but I have only praise! Thank you so much such a lovely ending to a great day for my sons graduation! Well done!

Nice food, nice ambiance, very friendly and helpful staff.

    Good stuff!

The scallops were under cooked and the lemon dressing was lacked flavour. The beetroot over powered the scallops. My steak was good but my wife's chicken was not. She didn't eat it. The cheese was good. Overall not very good and not as expected from Radisson. Staff were helpful but give the small number eating seemed to be run off their feet!

Food was great and was good value at the Fire Lake.

The restaurant entrance was easily found from the inside of the Light, the bar area was bathed in a warm glow and was very classically and tastefully decorated, we took our place in a couple of stylish leather bar stools and were given a warm greeting from the bar staff who went to enquire whether our table was ready.

A short while later after ordering drinks we were shown to the table, again the ambience, lighting and decor created an inviting atmosphere. I just wish we had been closer to the fire pit. There is plenty of space and you don't feel shoe horned like many eateries.

The staff were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and attentive without being too intrusive.

The menu is a little limited with not too many alternatives to steak, but then again you would expect this from a grill. We didn't struggle though and could ordered several dishes.

The one thing that struck me was the price, above average for Leeds I would say, but then that's expected for a hotel restaurant, the drinks were pricy too.

The lager was cold and tasty, but the Pino Grigio was very disappointing for £25 a bottle.

The starters, a generous portion of mussels and crab crockes were very well presented and delicious. The main courses were again inventively presented, wooden boards for the steaks and an aluminium foil tray for the sausage and mash, again the steak was cooked to perfection, the rib was tender and tasty but the butchers cut a little tough in parts. No complaints from the sausage and mash, it was inhaled within minutes.

We declined dessert and coffee and opted to leave for apres dinner drinks in a nearby bar with slightly cheaper rates.

To summarize the restaurant is a very lovely place in which to dine, the service was top notch, staff was impeccable, the food mostly delicious and the price a little inflated.

A great time was had, we will probably return.

We say…

A stone's throw from the hub of nightlife in Leeds, the Fire Lake Grill House Restaurant and Cocktail Bar at The Radisson Blu is an excellent choice for those looking for a delicious meal in a classy location. Close to the City Varieties Music Hall and the Leeds Grand Theatre, the Fire Lake Grill House is perfectly situated for a pre-theatre or concert meal.

Set on the ground floor of the hotel, the Fire Lake Grill House utilises comfortable yet modern decor to help deliver a relaxed, elegant dining experience. Tasteful exposed light bulbs hang from the high ceiling, ensuring that the stylishly grey exposed brick walls are well illuminated. Long arched windows and state of the art design features ensure that the restaurant is up there with the most refined of dining environments. Lounge chairs, bar seating and fireside stools ensure that there will always be an area of the restaurant perfect for a pre-dinner cocktail or two.

The food itself is inspired by the American mid-west tradition of open flame cooking: as many dishes as possible are wood and flame-cooked or smoked. Rooted in American culture but utilising resources closer to home, the Fire Lake Grill House uses local produce and is inspired by the essence of Yorkshire.

You won't be disappointed with the ranges of dishes on offer. To start with, we would recommend the fire melting croquettes of crab with smoked ricotta, tomato and wild garlic chutney, or even the mussels served in Leeds' best bitter with flame grilled lemon bread. For the main event we particularly like 'The One and Onglet' butcher's steak: pepper-dusted and crusted with marrowbone gravy. For vegetarians we'd recommend the asparagus, tomato and pomegranate tart with feta and fruit balsamicThe quality of the food at the Fire Lake Grill House is excellent: combined with the elegant setting, you will always receive the high standard of service that people have come to expect from Radisson Blu hotels.

If you're looking for a fantastic restaurant in the heart of Leeds city centre, the Fire Lake Grill House offers great food and exceptional service and standards. Close to the best cultural venues the city has to offer, enjoy delectable food before a night of entertainment for a memorable evening experience.
