Fat Cat Northampton are currently closed due to fire damage and are due to reopen in December 2012. 

Ideally located in the centre of Northampton Town is the fantastically appointed Fat Cat Restaurant and bar. Only 3 minutes walk from the main town square and close to Derngate and Royal Theatres Fat Cat aims at patrons looking for a higher quality of city centre experiences with a welcoming bar and lounge areas complete with sofa area and a raised restaurant to the right hand side of the floor space. To the rear is a well proportioned al fresco area with large parasols and wooden benches lending itself well to enjoy a fabulous 2-for-1 priced cocktail in the summer months.

The restaurant itself offers great British cuisine in informal surroundings using British produce, local if possible but with the emphasis on quality rather than location. A fantastically priced 2 courses for £10 is an absolute winner with locals and visitors to the area alike and diners can enjoy a seasonal menu. Starters for example include Fish cakes of the day or Chorizo and cheese Potato skins followed by Beer battered Cod and hand cut chips or Marinated Chicken Strips.
