Situated on Hinckley Road, just five minutes’ walk from the De Montfort University and twenty from the heart of the city centre, is Entropy Restaurant. Loved by residents and visitors to the city of Leicester, Entropy has a fantastic reputation that boasts many awards including scooping the ‘Midland’s Restaurant of the Year’ at the Good Food Guide Awards in 2009.
This family-run restaurant is small but perfectly formed and offers diners and drinkers a chic and contemporary venue where you can relax and enjoy a bite to eat and conversation with friends and family. Complete with highly polished wooden floors, wooden tables, comfortable cream leather chairs and neutral art work on the walls, Entropy is a paradise and offers a place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Large chocolate brown sofas provide the perfect resting place for weary bodies and a contemporary round bar is perfect for perching and putting the world to rights.
Michelin-trained Chef Tom Cockerill, who apprenticed at Hambleton Hall in Rutland prior to joining Entropy, is in charge of creating the delicious British menu that really showcases the best of local produce. The menu is indulgent and, thanks to the surroundings, can be thoroughly enjoyed during your time in the restaurant. The a la carte menu changes on a daily basis but, when seasonally available, you can expect to enjoy dishes such as roast loin of Gloucester Old Spot pork served with red cabbage and cider braised potato; herb crusted Icelandic cod with white beans, braised gem and Morteaux sausage; and oats cheese and watercress risotto. With a superb lunch menu and bar snacks available throughout the day as well as several regular special menu evenings a week, Entropy is ideal for all occasions.
With a bar area for relaxing and areas where visitors can simply enjoy a coffee on the comfy sofas, Entropy Leicester allows guests to enjoy high-quality food without burning a huge hole in their pocket. Perfect for a quick bite to eat at lunch or a lingering evening meal, it’s not the highest rated restaurant in Leicester for no reason!
