Emilio is back. After a couple of years away from the restaurant scene in Nottingham Emilios Greek Restaurant Arnold has opened with Emilios at the helm, a fantastic and renowned host sure to make for an enjoyable experience.
The menu offers a delicious selection of classic dishes from Greece and its Islands including Cyprus with a modern twist. Appetisers and starters include all favourites such as Kalamari, Houmous, Taramoslata and Tzatziki, new specialities, Mediterranean fries Kafteri and Skordalia. Main courses include classic dishes Kleftiko, Lamb Kokkinisto Moussaka and Stifado. Plus new dishes not so well know in the UK, Chicken Kokkinisto and Chicken Samos, Soutzoukakia (Lamb sausages). Seafood is feature with Garides (King Prawns) Halibut, Solomos (Salmon) and Sea Bass all served with a Greek twist. We also have a special selection of Vegetarian dishes as appetisers, starters and main courses throughout the menu.
To compliment your food Emilios Greek restaurant have an extensive wine list personally selected by Emilios, which includes wines from Greece and the Greek Islands as well as wines from Europe and the New World. At the bar there is a wide selection of beers, including Mythos from Greece and Keo from Cyprus, Ouzo and Metaxa other spirits and, liqueurs.

Friday and Saturday nights there is live music and a disco, so get up and dance, learn Zorbas dance with our staff and after enjoy our disco. A live Jazz Trio also plays at Emilios the first Thursday of every month, for diners to enjoy music from the classic American Song book. I wouldn't normally eat out of town but we fancied something different, and I'm pleased we did! Emilios had quite a few people in for a Wednesday, though the place looked like it could accommodate quite a lot more when full. We ordered from the set menu and were pleased with quality and quantity of the food. The service was friendly, though the waiter seemed very keen that we order a bottle of his Greek wine(?!) which we politely declined. Overall the place was a nice find and I'd happily eat there again.

As a customer who teaches within this industry I often find that I am very picky about the standards received at some relatively unknown restaurants. I would also like to say it is not often one finds a gem in the middle of a place such as this. I didn't expect too much when driving through the area at which it was situated but was pleasantly suprised and delighted with the whole meal experience from start to finish. The restaurant had a wonderfully welcoming family atmosphere and we were made to feel like regular diners even though this was our first time. The food was excellent, the atmoshpere was just right, the service was second to none and i felt the meal was excellent value for money. Needless to say, I will definately be frequenting this establishment in a few weeks time when I am back in notts.

Fabulous night at Emilios. Really enjoyed the managers company and felt I had been invited into his house. Starters were a great introduction to the feast choosing stuffed vine leaves. Mains were a delight and I even ordered a second stifado. I was treated to a cooling cocktail for my efforts finishing the night in excellent fashion. A great place for a warm genuine welcome particularly for larger groups, highly recommended.

The food is amazing, everyone was very welcoming from the moment we came to time we left.
With it being my bday they made a big fuss of me and the other birthday party.
Music was abit loud whilest we was eating however.
