Go dine review
One of the most revered and known Indian restaurants in Nottingham; The Curry Lounge boasts an impressive, and ever-growing, number of awards including East Midlands ‘Best Indian Restaurant 2012’ as well as being recognised by the English Curry Awards as Indian Restaurant Team of the Year. Often seen on TV and in glitzy magazines, this is without doubt the Ultimate Indian dining experience.
This should give you some idea how passionate the Curry Lounge Nottingham are about food, and is one of the most popular choices for locals and visitors looking for an exquisite Indian meal and unbeatable value. Bang in the middle of the city centre, you are never far from the Curry Lounge experience. If you want great home cooked food, brilliant service and leaving you have been treated like a VIP, then you will not go far wrong at the Curry Lounge Nottingham
The menu on offer is extensive and showcases the very best of authentic Indian and Punjabi cuisine which has a home-cooked approach by a team of some of the region’s top chefs. If it’s good enough for Gordon Ramsay and A-List Bollywood celebrities such as Priyanka Chopra & Shaid Kapoor to Carl Froch or Ollie Miurs and a plethora of celeb’s performing at the Theatre or Capital Arena, then it’s good enough for us and we can assure you that you won’t be disappointed with what’s on offer. There is a huge variety of starters and mains available as well as section dedicated to healthy and gluten free options that comes complete with calories per dish, allowing even the most weight conscious to enjoy a meal out.
The restaurant itself boasts a large open-plan layout which has been cleverly divided into sections to create intimate booths, private corners and larger spaces with a feeling of exclusivity for special occasions. In the centre of the room suspended from the ceiling is a jaw-dropping swirl of fibre-optic lights that change colour throughout the evening adding to the stylish and utterly inviting atmosphere that radiates throughout the restaurant.
We all know that you can’t have an exceptional dining experience without exceptional service and the family run team will ensure that you are never left wanting from the moment you step through the door to the moment you collect your coat. Owner and Chef Patron Raz, who you may recognise from his appearance on Channel 4’s ‘The Secret Millionaire’, or from national TV shows cooking up a storm, takes his time to greet guests during service which is a wonderfully personal touch that fully completes the experience.
With a chic and majestic yet contemporary décor, Curry Lounge offers superb food and excellent service all within a relaxed yet professional atmosphere. Whatever the occasion, expect brilliance from the Curry Lounge in Nottingham every single time. It is easy to find curry in Nottingham, but not like the Curry Lounge.

We booked for our wedding anniversary, requested a quiet table and was taken to a booth out of the way to everyone. The manager sent over complimentary glass or wine and upgraded our order and they also sent over a complimentary dessert. Food as ever lovely and tasty, would always recommend this restaurant to anyone after a good curry.

Fantastic food, but service seemed a tad late from starter to main course and asked quite frequently 'how's your meal?' which i must say is one of my bug bares. But overall the food and the setting was brilliant.

Food was fine, but not special. Very salty. Ambience was very noisy but not a bad dining experience.

A really excellent meal. We ate early in the evening but as it got busier there was one loud table. However, this would not stop us going back.

All the food, starters and mains, both vegetarian and non- vegetarian were presented very well and were indeed very tasty!
The service was swift although the sunday evening was not that busy and waiters were OK.
Must try it again on a busy evening!
Overall a very good experiance.

The service was fantastic, we were really looked after, but not watched over. The food was lovely, and I was really pleased that the 20 per cent discount from booking through Go Dine was very discreet. We did not have to ask for it, it was just deducted from the total on the receipt. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, if you want great food and excellent service.
