We went after discovering they take NUS cards. Best Sunday carvery I've ever had. It's turned us in to regulars and I think I'd go if I had a student card or not!

Waiter really knew his stuff, a lovely meal with some excellent wine choices!

We say…

Situated just outside of the city centre off the A5460 near the Newarke Houses Museum and Gardens, Colourworks restaurant in Leicester is dark and edgy and represents a new wave of wining and dining options for the residents of Leicester.

The unique exterior is a reflection of what you can expect inside. A deep silver colour palette sweeps across the venue; the walls are lined with sumptuous textured wallpaper, plush contemporary furnishings and ambient candlelight which all combine to create a deeply intimate atmosphere. Colourworks is ideal for a romantic meal for two or a special occasion. The restaurant also serves Sunday lunch every weekend with all the trimmings and earns itself a family-friendly title by offering child size portions.

Colourworks offers a good selection of European and French cuisine with a few British classics thrown in to the mix such as Roast Honey glazed Greshingham Duck Breast with Rosemary Mash and Kumquat Sauce and Roasted Sea Bass with Parmesan Crust and Chilli-Coriander Butter. For those with a sweet tooth the Warm Chocolate Fudge Cake with Amaretto Ice Cream and Homemade Apple Crumble are must-try items.

The bar is well-stocked with a variety of wines, champagnes, soft drinks and cocktails. Booking is recommended to ensure a seat at this highly popular restaurant. They also have a function room that you can hire for large parties.
