Conveniently placed on Brewery Wharf, Ciao Bella is owned and managed by Remo, a caring and hard working Italian who takes great pride in offering the very best in home cooked Italian cuisine and relaxing hospitality.

Stepping from the cobbled streets into the historic converted building you’ll discover the airy wooden floored  restaurant space where Ciao Bella offers fabulous food at extremely reasonable prices. In the summer months the rear terrace area outside is drenched in sun, tempting you to relax over a cooling gin and tonic or a refreshing Italian lager.

Offering a fantastically priced lunch menu the restaurant aims to entice office workers away from shop bought sandwiches, and also offer a relaxing feed during a day’s visit in Leeds. Diners are sure to walk away pleased at the quality of the food and impressed at how little it cost. In the evening an extremely competitive Early Bird menu is perfect for theatre goers or to set you up for a great night out in the city centre.

The menu features many Italian classics. Reasonably priced pizzas, from Margherita to Calzones or Remo’s Special of tomato sauce, Mozzarella cheese, spicy chicken breast, roasted peppers and olives sit alongside the ‘Taste of Italy’ section, which is not to be missed and where you will find authentic dishes created and selected from Remo’s years of restaurant experience. Petto di Pollo al Contadino, Chicken breast wrapped in Parma Ham on a bed of Roasted Potatoes and salad leaves is perfect for poultry lovers, whilst Vitello Milanese, Pan fried Veal in Bread Crumbs served with Spaghetti Napoli is a real treat.

Overall

We had 3 courses for a mear £10.95 at 6pm on a Saturday, which I thought was fantastic value. I thought that the food may be limited because of the deal but was pleasantly surprised. Will definitely be returning again.

It was the first time that we had visited Ciao Bella and we will definitely be back again. We had never visited this part of Leeds before. We were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is in some sort of converted mill with nice views. From the moment you walk in the staff really make you feel welcome and are very attentive - our waiter topped our wine glasses without us even noticing they were empty! We arrived at the restaurant at 18.15 and it was a little quiet with just a handful of other diners, but within an hour or so it had plenty of people in. There is a good choice of food and specials on the menu at reasonable prices. The wine list is good too, again this was fairly priced at £12.50 for our choice of red. It is definitely worth trying out. We had a wonderful evening.

Overall

Excellent service and lovely food, although there could have been more choice on the early bird menu. The staff were lovely and it had quite a buzz as there were a couple of birthday parties / hen dos going on. Despite it being busy, we didn't feel rushed at all. Would totally recommend it.
