Go dine review
In the heart of Nottingham, just up the road from popular night time haunts Walkabout and The Approach, is the highly celebrated Chutney Indian restaurant. Boasting a prime location on Maid Marian Way, Chutney is a lively and colourful restaurant that brings an authentic taste of India to the streets of Nottingham.
With a bright and colourful interior and a cosy ambience, Chutney has deservedly become known as one of the leading Indian restaurants in the East Midlands. During the day the restaurant is bright and airy and offers a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of Market Square just metres away. In the evening an LED ceiling mimics a starry night whilst brightly coloured lanterns add even more depth and character to the already charming dining room. This modest 120 cover restaurant also boasts a fully licensed bar and goes that extra mile by providing special children’s menus as well as tailored menus for group bookings.
Renowned for its delectable dishes served in very generous portions, Chutney offers a great selection of well-known and much loved mains such as korma, dopiaza, pasanda and balti with a choice of prawns, vegetables, chicken, lamb and chicken tikka, as well as an extensive specialities menu for those who like to dine on the wilder side. If you prefer to try something a little different, the spicy garlic chilli chicken packs a powerful punch whilst the ‘jewel in the crown’, tandoori prawns, chicken tikka and roast lamb in a medium spicy sauce, offers mouthwatering flavours for the meat-lover. With a comprehensive array of breads, rice dishes and sides, Chutney offers is perfect for curry first-timers to the connoisseur.
If you are looking for honest and authentic Indian food in Nottingham city centre, then we recommended a visit to Chutney. With a simple approach that places emphasis on flavour, value for money, service and comfort, you can’t go wrong.

The quality of the food and the service were excellent.
The size of the pickle dishes with the poppadums were on the small side and the serving of salad accompanying the starters, which was served on a plate for all to share, wasn't sufficient for all of our party, one went without.
The 20% Godine discount wasn't applied to our bill but that was soon rectified when it was pointed out to the staff.
Overall, a nice meal in a nice atmosphere although a little expensive without the discount.

Enjoyed this indian restaurant as its very casual dining and is open very late, just to top things off, we had the 20% special offer on the booking. Staff were very nice as well!

A real surprise, excellent food a little bit different from the typical Indian restaurant. Friendly service, casual environment and simple menu. Would definitely eat there again.

Should have gone in here a long time ago - have walked by loads of times and wish I had ventured in before.
Good food and open later than some. Have now visited twice and I definitely prefer the lower end of Maid Marian Way to the higher end for Indian food.

Decent Indian restaurant, a lot better than the much more revered mem saab across the road (in my opinion of course!). Been a couple of times before and would go again.
