Lalon Indian Restaurant Nottingham joins Godine.co.uk

You may have noticed a few new additions to the Go dine family recently and whether you can keep up with us or not, we always like to take the time to introduce you to our newest members. Today we’d like to take a couple of minutes to welcome Lalon to the family.
With more five-star recommendations than you can shake a stick at, Lalon is easily one of the finest Indian restaurants in Nottingham. Not only does the restaurant benefit from an easily accessible location on Radcliffe Road, it also provides customers with plenty of free, on-site parking and stunning views across the lake. When you combine this with their high standards of service, beautifully decorated dining room and unbeatably fresh, authentic cuisine, you really would be hard pushed to find another restaurant that matches up to Lalon.
Lalon prides itself on offering something a little different to the ‘old favourites’ such as chicken korma and lamb bhuna, that many of us cling to when dining out, though these can be made fresh if you really can’t bring yourself to try something new. However, those that do venture outside their comfort zone will be greatly rewarded with mouthwatering dishes that are flavourful, vibrant and like nothing you have ever tasted before.
Popular choices include the Bemisal, a char grilled tikka or simply grilled Scottish salmon in a mild to medium coconut, buttery tomato and lemongrass sauce complemented by sautéed brown onions; and the lamb Hyderabadi, a very rich dish that is packed with stir-fried spices, coriander, fresh sour yoghurt, tomatoes, garlic and ginger puree in juices of bay leaves, cloves and cardamom. In addition to their delectable meat mains, there is a fantastic selection of equally unique and vibrant vegetarian dishes that are anything but your standard paneer creations. Examples include sweet gobi, stir fried butternut squash and cauliflower tossed with chilli and coriander; and khumb aloo of stir-fried wild mushrooms and potatoes in herbs and spices with pureed tomatoes.
If you are looking for the ultimate Indian dining experience, then Lalon is more than worth the two mile journey from the city centre. The venue is tailor made for large parties all the way to intimate dinner dates for two with tables looking out across the lake and you can rest assured that the passionate and dedicated staff will go out of their way to ensure that you have an incredible dining experience that will wipe all other Indian restaurants off your radar for good!
