The best restaurants in the World – Ithaa, the Maldives
For those looking for an extra special dining experience, why not eat 5m below sea level at Ithaa, the world’s first underwater restaurant.
Costing around £3m to construct, the 14 seater restaurant forms and incredible tunnel of blue light, surrounded by some some of the most remarkable tropical fish on the planet.
The food carries a western style that has fused the flavours of the Maldives and includes some of the finest fish dishes of the region. Diners looking to splash out can enjoy the 23 course taster menu for £150 and watch the world swim by.
