ASK is an Italian restaurant centrally located in Northampton town centre. It is situated on the corner of St Giles Square and Wood Hill, just up the road from Nando’s, the Tourist Information Centre and The Vineyard. Its close proximity to the shopping centres and parks makes it an ideal venue to enjoy a long, lingering lunch or relax in the evening with a bottle of wine and a delicious meal.
As one of 200 ASK restaurants across the UK, it is a popular chain due to its focus on good Italian cuisine for a reasonable price. Each venue varies slightly in style, giving every restaurant its own personality. ASK Northampton is housed within a period building that looks quaint and traditional from the outside with hanging baskets and potted plants. Inside, the dining room is bright and modern with pops of yellow and red brightening the whole room up. The feature paintwork also sets this venue apart from the rest.
On the menu you will find an array of classic Italian dishes that are made using authentic ingredients; ASK only use De Cecco pasta, the Italian favourite, and their tomato sauce is even made in Italy by the Greti brothers who have been canning tomatoes since the 1900’s. There is a good range of pizza and pasta dishes including the Spaghetti al Pomodoro; a rich tomato pasta dish with garlic, fresh basil and Santos tomatoes with torn buffalo mozzarella and a drizzle of olive oil and the delicious Calzone con Carne Piccante; a mammoth calzone stuffed with pepperoni, ham, pancetta, beef meatballs, chillies, mozzarella, Pomodoro sauce and caramelised onions.
ASK Northampton is a lovely venue and would be ideal for a romantic meal for two, special occasion or larger parties. Due to the popularity of the ASK brand, it is highly recommended that you book your table in advance, particularly for Friday and Saturday evenings.
