Cockliffe Country House restaurant offers far more than a fine dining experience; it is a romantic, historic building in idyllic surroundings and perfect for a weekend getaway, as well as a fine gourmet meal. It’s close enough to Nottingham for an evening out, but the temptation to book a room and stay the night, as a romantic escape from urban life, will be high.

They aim at creating the most contemporary of flavours with imagination and authenticity. First class service and a relaxing atmosphere ensure a unique dining experience is enjoyed by all. Cockliffe House is a gorgeous venue that serves excellent food. The service has always attentive, but occasionally a little scatty. Definitely worth a try though!

A small country hotel restaurant with a welcoming service. Excellent pre theatre meal area to consider - the menu and have pre meal drinks. Quiet restaurant however if busy tables would be very close together. Early bird meal is excellent value and you are not treated differently - thus getting excellent service. Would recommend for a special meal.

Opted for the Early Evening menu. Excellent value and the food was top notch. Service was to a very high standard, both bar and waiting staff very personable. I would recommend a trip to Cockliffe if you are looking to try something different outside of the city centre.

Stunning restaurant and the grounds are heavenly. The food was very good and I would certainly recommend as a dining experience, particuarly if you enjoy eating out of the city centre.
