Elegant and charming; Chatterley House Hotel and Restaurant sits proudly on the outskirts of Nottingham in rural Cossall, close to the birthplace of one of the county’s favourite literary sons, D. H. Lawrence. Ten minutes from Junction 26 of the M1, Chatterley House is easily accessible and therefore ideal for family get-togethers, meeting with friends and special occasions.
The beautiful period house was once home to the famous Lady Chatterley and has been sympathetically converted into a modern 12 bedroom hotel and restaurant. The newly refurbished dining room provides a comfortable, relaxing environment thanks to its nostalgic charm and clever modern twists. With a gentle palette of creams and chocolates, clever use of lighting and mirrors and modern art, the space is light and airy, yet cosy at the same time. A well-stocked bar is tucked neatly along one side of the dining room and provides guests with a comprehensive wine list, ice cold lagers and beers and a wide variety of spirits and soft drinks that are the perfect accompaniment to any meal. In addition, a newly added outdoor decking area provides the perfect spot for enjoy a drink outside, weather permitting of course.
Diners are treated to a modern European menu that has been carefully compiled and created by Chef Jason Littlewood. Signature dishes, when seasonally available, include succulent grilled salmon on a bed of garlic prawn and chorizo risotto and served with buttered samphire; crispy Gressingham duck breast with morello cherries, watercress and homemade chips; and pan-roasted rump of spring lamb with creamed mash, roasted Mediterranean vegetables and a minted lamb jus. A value for money set menu is also available that offers diners the chance to enjoy some of the more popular dishes for a very reasonable price.
This family-run hotel and restaurant prides itself on its attentive and friendly service, talented chefs and beautiful surroundings, all of which blend together effortlessly to make your visit memorable for all the right reasons. Whether it’s a romantic dinner date, lunch with friends or a family celebration, the restaurant at Chatterley House will look after you from start to finish.

Really enjoyed it here, service was great and enjoyed ordering our food in the bar area before being taken to your table just before the food arrives. Would go again.

Chose this restaurant 'out of the blue' after web searching whilst away for a weekend in Nottingham. And are we glad we did! The Chatterley House Hotel is a beautiful period house that was once home to the famous Lady Chatterley and has been converted into a modern 12 bedroom hotel and restaurant. The welcome and service were really good, and the quality of food, cooking and presentation far exceeded our expectations. Obviously don't know how it compares with other places in the area but our experience has to put Chatterley House 'up there' with the best.

Lovely food - veggies could do with changing a little from time to time.

Beautiful food as ever, cannot fault it. The only downside was they no longer provide a glass of wine with the meal which isn't a problem but had we known in advance we would have ordered a bottle of wine to begin with.

We came here last Summer, really enjoyed it and kept meaning to come back, I only wished we had done it sooner. The food was beautiful, we couldn't fault it at all. The service is excellent, very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend it to everyone and we will definitely be going again.

Apart from the heavy snow that evening, which made the journey home memorable there was nothing to fault the evening we had and the delicious food which was superb value for money, we'll be going again.

Excellent food at a resonable price. My only complaint is that I booked a table for 16 people 4 months in advanced, but when we arrived were seated as a 10 and 6.

We had the 3 courses for £14.95 which was great value for money with no compromises on the food. We thoroughly enjoyed it all and will definitely be returning.

We wanted somewhere local that served good food as well as a lovely atmosphere - we found it all under one roof at the Chatterley House.
Thank you

The restaurant was warm and ambient when we went and the staff were attentive without being intrusive. My main course was absolutely superb too!
