Elegant and charming Chatterley House Hotel and Restaurant is located outside Nottingham in rural Cossal, near the birthplace of one of Nottinghamshire’s favourite literary sons D.H. Lawrence. The beautiful period house was once home to the famous Lady Chatterley and has been converted into a modern 12-bedroom hotel and restaurant.
If you’re looking for nostalgic charm with a few modern twists, the newly refurbished dining room provides a comfortable, relaxed environment and is light and spacious, while staying true to its historical past. A modern European menu offers a delicious variety of well thought out dishes, created by chef Jason Littlewood.
The family-run hotel and restaurant prides itself on attentive and friendly staff and talented chefs to make your visit a really memorable experience.
Signature dishes include: Grilled salmon with smoked salmon, razor clam risotto, rocket and parmesan salad; roasted red pepper risotto complemented by tomato and saffron coulis; honey roasted Gressingham duck breast with smoked bacon savoy cabbage and a duck and honey glaze.

We came here last Summer, really enjoyed it and kept meaning to come back, I only wished we had done it sooner. The food was beautiful, we couldn't fault it at all. The service is excellent, very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend it to everyone and we will definitely be going again.

Apart from the heavy snow that evening, which made the journey home memorable there was nothing to fault the evening we had and the delicious food which was superb value for money, we'll be going again.

Excellent food at a resonable price. My only complaint is that I booked a table for 16 people 4 months in advanced, but when we arrived were seated as a 10 and 6.
